Since that day, Kakyoin was constantly seen on the same spot day and night, eating small pieces of borrowed meat from time to time, drinking a small gulps of water, yo save it for later, and slept at night squeezing himself with his cloak to make himself Warmer.
The crew started to feel a bit bad for him, but they still couldn't trust him fully.
Jotaro however, was getting pissed by the fact , that they might be torturing a completely innocent man who is just trying to get back home. So he decided to keep talking with him to find out more. It felt bad not trying to speak with the intruder, just because he came from Dios mansion.
And one night, few days before they reached the other end. Jotaro decided to have a smal talk with Noriaki, without warning anyone.
Noriaki was , as usual, sitting in the same spot, trying to sleep. His sleep schedule was a bit messed, but he needed to endure it, for his own sake.
It looked so cruel to Jotaro, seeing the man obediently doing everything he promised to them all.
He approached next to Kakyoin, leaned on the safety gate , and started smoking, looking in the distance.
It was pretty windy, and cold, and he knew, Noriaki couldn't fall asleep that easley.
"You awake?" Jotaro softened his tone of voice, trying to sound as friendly as possible.
Kakyoin flinched, and slowly turned his head to see Jotaro standing next to him.
It was surprising to hear him after many day's of ignorance. But it felt nice knowing he will have his company again.
"Yes" Noriaki replied, exhaling a bit longer at the end of his sentence, just to check on the cold air. There was a bit of frozen air, coming out.
"Are you cold?" Jotaro threw another question in.
"Yeah, a bit" Noriaki replied with a bit longer sentence, but still trying to avoid being annoying.
"Do you want me to bring you an extra cover, i mean, its pretty windy, it'll suck if you catch a cold " Jotaro now glanced at Kakyoin who was shivering from time to time, listening to him.
For a moment, Kakyoin was once again surprised by the kind offer, but he wondered if that was a testing from Jotaro.
"I'll get through it, no need, thanks for hhhhuf... kind offer" his voice was getting all shaky, since he started feeling even colder.
"Dude you're literally shaking, it'll be annoying if you become sick, spreading all those germs around, pfff, I'll be right back hold on"
"Jotaro wait!...." Noriaki shouted after him "There's really no need! I can handle this!" but it was a bit too late, Jotaro was already in, strictly placing a finger on his nose, telling Kakyoin to shut up.
Fee minutes after, there he was, with a huge blanket on his shoulder.
"Here... Don't be so loud for god's sake, they are all sleeping, now here, take this and don't whine about your negotiation"
He threw the blanket on Noriaki, it fell on his head, slid down his hoodie, but Luckily, the cover, fell on him, covering him completely.
Noriaki silently, took it off of him, placing back his hoodie, and remaining hidden.
Now that he had a blanket, wrapped around him, it was much warmer.
"Thank you Jotaro, i appreciate this so much..."
"You better" Jotaro chuckled jokingly, still looking at the sad figure of an unknown man.
The conversation didn't ended there, he still had things to ask amd talk about, hoping that he might earn Noriakis trust, and see his face... Besides Kakyoin Noriaki and Hierophant green were awfully familiar names to him, he wanted to know more.
So he sat down next to Kakyoin, sliding his legs forward, sitting in a really relaxed way, with his hands behind his head.
"You're pretty silent after that day, what's up with that"
Kakyoin lowered his head more, trying to avoid getting seen.
"I just don't want to bother" he silently replied, with a trembling voice.
"Mmm...To be honest, you aren't annoying at all, "
"And you aren't as tough as you seem" Kakyoin chuckled, giving in the conversation more and more.
Having a convo with your childhood crush, felt so nice.
"I guess people change, and i, woke up from my stubbornness after this journey."
Jotaro kept exhaling the remainings of nicotine left in his lungs."So the journey, changed your mind... that's nice, you learned some important lessons from it" Kakyoin noticed.
"Yeah"
An awkward silence slipped in between them again, until Jotaro asked again.
"Dio's victim huh.... I've seen only one, and he was the one eho saved our lives, but also almost killed us"
Kakyoin immediately knew it was now about him.
"I don't know what happened to him, but i hope he survived that explosion, clearly he tried yo save us..." Then Jotaro noticed the quiet gasp escaping from Kakyoin.
"You know him?" That grabbed Jotaro's attention, of wanting to know more.
"Yeah" kakyoin paused, sounding more enthusiastic unlike before.
"im sure his alive and well" He chuckled again, feeling honored by the caring words Jotaro gave him just now.
"Was he your friend?"
"Mmm...yeah he was" butting his lips , trying not to reveal himself yet, Kakyoin enjoyed the theme that struck this conversation, like a little child, his excitement grew.
"Man i wish i met him, to give him a proper thanks" Jotaro stretched, already having sn assumption who was sitting next to him under the black cloak.
Kakyoins heart was beating fast at this point, getting praised like this, excited him so much.
"You tired? should i let you sleep? Your breathing got a bit fast"
Concerned, Jotaro looked back at Kakyoin. But Kakyoin kept silent, still getting overexcited about all of this.
"Anyways... I'll be heading back in there, if ya need anything ask me, jm not that cruel you know...Noriaki Kakyoin" Before he disappeared in the cabin, he gave Kakyoin a quick smug face, and went inside.
Kakyoin was left shocked, glad , and concerned.
"He knows..." He slowly grabbed his head "He knows who i am"
it was getting exciting to him.
