MY HEART'S CHOICE

THE SPARK

They went  in after the great function. It looked majestic. But to his surprise it was a queen to lead the nation. The king was long dead. He saw someone so beautiful but she dressed like a maid rather a princess.
So Lanstern did not bother much. He bowed automatically with his warriors following his lead.
The queen asked,
I DID NOT ASK YOU TO BOW , KING LANSTERN.
Lanstern' s answer was so shoking to everyone, as he said,
TO LEAD A NATION, IS HARD FOR A KING BUT YOU HAVE DONE IT BEAUTIFULLY THAN ME . ITS MY DUTY TO BOW TO YOUR INTELEGENCE . SO PLEASE LET ME.
with that answer Lanstern  amazed everyone in the hall and his friends.
Everyone gained a great respect towards him.so does the maid.

They were offered shelter and food.They planned well and attacked well. With Lanstern's army beside odaisi looked so huge and powerful.
The war went for four days . Lanstern managed to have zero deaths on his side. As he trained his army men like his own children.

The enemy had no choice but to retreat. They celebrated the victory that night.The whole odaisi was shining like a sky filled with stars. Lanstern felt odd in that crowed so he left the palace to forest to spend some time wandering in the meadows.
He saw the maid. He followed her .

She went nowhere but to the forest just like stern. He felt something different inside him blooming . He wantedly stopped his horse far away as she stopped. He followed her into the forest she stopped at the edge of a cliff and she looked here and there and jumped off the cliff . Stern shot his steel arrow on a larg tree. The arrow pierced through the tree like a knife cutting butter.
He tied the thick climber string to his body and jumped off the cliff as well. He grabbed her and climbed back to the top. He dropped her politely and asked,
WHY DID YOU JUMP MAID?
IS THERE ANY FAMILY PROBLEM? IF I COULD HELP I WILL BE GLAD.
She smiled and said,
IAM NO MAID.
IAM THE PRINCESS OF ODAISI.
Lanstern was shocked , he asked,
THEN WHY DID YOU JUMP?
she answered politely,
I SAW YOUR BRAVERY AND STRENGTH. BUT I WANTED TO TEST IT MYSELF. I KNOW YOU  WERE FOLLOWING ME. SO I JUMPED.
Lanstern smiled and asked,
WHAT IF I DID NOT SAVE YOU?
She answered like a queen,
I HAVE SEEN MANY MEN (COWARDLY)
BUT YOU ARE NOT ONE OF THEM.
