"What are you doing?"

Colby, he was standing over top of you trying to sit you up gently so you wouldn't have to feel a bunch of pain.
Colby: hey, I'm so sorry Jen I didn't mean to wake you.
Jen: no it's ok no worries. What are you doing?
Colby: I was trying to help you sit up because dinner is ready and your mom asked me to help you eat because she didn't want you to move much.
Jen: well thank you that means a lot.
You try and stand up because you had to go to the bathroom and you feel Colby try and help you. You giggle and inform him you didn't break your leg you were sure you could walk. Colby laughed and let go apologizing. You walk to the bathroom and when you are finished you walked into the kitchen. You see Sam sitting on a barstool and as soon as you go to talk to him he walked away from you with out a word. You watch him and try not to let the tears over take you but you let one slip. You hear your mom and turn around trying to wipe the tear away quick.
Jen: oh jeez mom you scared me!
Y/m: oh honey I'm sorry, can you please tell me what happen? Colby text me and told me that you got hurt but didn't tell me you broke your arm.
Jen: it's just a minor thing I'll be ok, but can I stay home from school tomorrow?
Y/m: of course honey, you can have the day to rest.
You kissed your mom on the cheek thanking her and grabbed your food walking back into your room, you are startled by the ringing of your phone. It was a number you didn't recognize but you picked it up anyways.
Jen: Hello?
Corey: Hey Jen it's Corey, my dad told me that you where in the ER today...what happened?
Jen: Oh nothing just a minor wrist break. I fell and hurt myself it's all good.
Corey: Are you sure that's what happened? My Dad told me Sam was acting very weird?
Jen: yes Corey I'm ok. It was an accident, I was walking up the stairs and just hurt myself.
You hear your name being called and you tell Corey you have to go and hang up the phone. You walk into the living room and see everyone standing there everyone except your stepdad. Your mom told you that Colby was going to be staying home with you tomorrow, and that her and your new stepdad where taking a trip to Florida and you guys where going to be staying at the house by your selves for a while. You agreed and went to walk to your room when Colby asked if you wanted to come hang out in his room with him. You agreed and walked downstairs. You and Colby talked for hours when you brought up that Corey had called you. You guys talked about it and it seemed to upset Colby. You didn't understand why but now you where curious. You asked him but he just ignored the question and told you he was tired and wanted to go to bed. You left his room feel uncomfortable, sad, and angry. Sam didn't talk to you colby is pushing you away and you didn't understand why. You tried to figure out what you did wrong. As you walked up the stairs you started to cry. You got to the top of the stairs and walked toward your room as Sam walked out of the kitchen. You looked at him wiped away yours tears and walked into your room feeling him stare at you. You closed the door laid down on the bed and lost it. You couldn't hold it in anymore. It hurt because all you seem to do is mess up repeatedly. It wasn't your fault that you where brought into this family. You had no choice. You shut your eyes hoping that you could sleep the pain away.

After 3 hours of tossing and turning you couldn't sleep! Sam was on your mind and you just couldn't seem to let go of him. You stud up aching in pain, you walked out of your room and right over to Sam's. You opened the door quietly so your parents wouldn't wake up and you shut it with just the same force as you walked across the room the floor creaked and you froze. Sam turned over and looked at you. You continued to walk towards the bed. You sat on the edge and felt Sam move close to you.
Sam: couldn't sleep?
Jen: no you either?
Sam: No to much on my mind.
You looked at Sam...
Jen: like what?
Sam: Jen I am really sorry about what happened, I feel bad and about the kiss—
You leaned over and kissed Sam with every ounce of passion in you. You pulled away from him and looked at him waiting for a reaction. Sam looked at you and pulled you back in, kissing you with no hesitation. You two made out for around 5 minutes but then your wrist shot pain through your arm. You grabbed it and Sam went right back to feel guilty. You told him it wasn't his fault and you went back to kissing when Sam stoped you and told you that you needed to rest he put you to bed in your own room. You asked him to lay with you until you went to sleep. He snuggled with you as you rested your head on his chest. You looked at him and thanked him for this and slowly drifting off to sleep. After a while Sam wiggled his way out from under you and shut your door as quietly as he could. When he turned around and started walking towards his room he walked passed the kitchen and there stud Colby.
Colby:What where you doing in Jen's room?
Sam: she asked me to stay with her until she feel asleep guess she didn't want to be alone. At least I didn't throw her out of my room after she told me about Corey calling her.
Colby:How do you know about that?
Sam: your room is below mine I could hear you guys talking plus she told me about it!
Colby: we are going to talk about this tomorrow! I'm going back to bed.

It was the next day around noon when you woke up. You walked out to find Colby sitting on the couch.
Colby: good morning sleepy head!
Jen: good morning! So when is my mom and your dad leaving?
Colby: tomorrow morning...why?
Jen: Just wondering.
Colby: so why did you sleep so late? You and Sam stay up late talking.
Jen: how did you know?
Colby: because we are going to have a talk tonight in my room, you, Sam, and I. I need to know what is going on.

Colby: Sam! Jen! My room now!
You and Sam go to Colby's room and shut the door!
Colby: ok talk...
Sam: what do you mean?
Colby: don't play stupid with me Sam! Tell me now!
You and Sam exchange looks and Sam starts to talk.
