Jughead POV

the tensien in the car could be cut with a knife, while Alice drove us home. we didn't say anything and got back to the house. we all went up into bedrooms to sleep for a bit since we had woken up at 3 am. I woke up and it was 1:00 so I got up and got into some nice evening wear         (outfit above) and went down stairs to see Betty and polly sitting at the counter talking, Alice and dad cooking our lunch and Veronica pouring some champagne for everyone. i came down and headed outside trying to find Archie. I entered the backyard and saw Archie. " well, well, well. if it isn't the one and only Archie andrews." I said. Archie turned around and when he saw me he smiled. he spread his arms out and came up to me and gave me a big hug. " how ya been dude" he asked " pretty good. writers block, homelessness and girl problems, you know. just the usual Jughead Jones weirdo weirdo going" " sorry dude. but the Gil problems I get man." we grabbed a beer and started catching up on the past couple years. Alice then came out with the food and placed it on the table outside. we were having lasagne and salads and chips. Alice called everyone outdoors for lunch and Betty,veronica, polly and jelly came out. we all sat down and grabbed our food. Alice stood up and cleared her throat to get our attention (A) ah hmm... I have an announcement to make. she looked at dad and he stood up as well. (FP) um yeah. (A&FP) WE'RE ENGAGED!!! (B&P) OMG. (J) congrats dad. I hugged him and so did jellybean.  (V) congrats Alice and fp (P) lets see the ring then. Alice put her hand out and showed everyone her ring. it was beautiful

Bettys POV

(J) thats one hella big diamond dad. fp just smiled. we all sat back down and started eating and talking about the wedding (B) so what do you want the wedding to be like? mum started ranting on and talking about her dream wedding and a tear rolled down my face. (JB) are you okay Betty? (A) Betty. I stood up and ran away. I ran up to my room and started crying. (V) Betty... are you okay. B) yeah. I am so happy for my mum. seeing  her talk about her wedding is the happiest I have seen her since she got out of the farm and depression over dad being a serial killer. but it just makes me think about h- how I can't date jughead again since like where gonna be step-siblings and all. and I know that is bad but I- I think I still love him vee? I looked at her. and she just smiled.and hugged me saying nothing. I cried for a bit and then wiped my tears away and got up(b) ok. im good. we left and went down to the lunch again and enjoyed our time.

Jug POV 

Betty started crying and ran away. V) ill check on her. Veronica ran away after Betty. (J) uh.. um I gonna get another beer want one arch. (A) yes please. I walked inside and put the empty beer bottles down on the counter and walked up the stairs to Bettys room. I stopped and started eavesdropping. (B)but it just makes me think about h- how I can't date jughead again since like where gonna be step-siblings and all. and I know that is bad but I- I think I still love him vee? I stood there in shock. Betty still loved me. I stood there for a bit, frozen and then I realised they were gonna come back downstairs again so I just ran downstairs and got the beers. I ran back out. (A) what took you so long? (J) I uh um couldn't find the bottle opener. then Veronica and Betty came back out. and I stared at her and realised that I was in love with as well.
