Sanskar flipped through the files on the table to find the correct one when his phone rang. He answered the call while going through with the green one, its content did appear out of the place. It was Vermas' contract which was already terminated last year. Why did I bring it with me then?
"It's not a good idea... Yes, I should change my plan. I will attend classes starting tomorrow, but Ragini is already getting ready. And I am already ready. Still? I mean, I didn't consider it but Ragini's instrument is different than mine. Isn't it? Ragini said people know me well, and I don't know anyone. She said I generally stayed with this particular group, I met them last day but I don't remember, it's funny because I messaged them as well, their names are Riya, Krishna, Neha, Pooja, Stuti. Yes, and then I have three lectures today."
Swara.
Shaking his head, Sanskar enquired if she had water around her at her affirmation, he hummed, "Then give your voice rest, have some water."
"Now, it doesn't matter. You want to go today or not. You said you want to resume your life again, fine. If you don't want to, it doesn't matter. So, take a deep breath and decide for yourself."
Ragini came out of the bathroom in her usual salwar-kurti with braided hair, who offered Swara a smile and moved to the dressing table. Swara hummed, "I want to. Then, I still have Ragini with me if something happens... I wish you were with me to wish me. All my nerves would have vanished."
"Is that so?"
Swara smiled, "Yes, you always know what to say. So, having you around even for a while is enough to calm me down. I am quite fortunate, you are my friend."
"Wasn't always."
She shook her head at his words, "Why do you always have to talk about things I don't remember? Yes, I don't remember anything yet. I don't know what happened between us, but I am sure you were already my friend before I fell from the bridge."
Sanskar smiled at her words, "Yes indeed, that's why I saved you. Why do you even remember it?"
"So, that I can prove it to you, you aren't as evil as you think you are, my dark knight?" Both laughed at Swara's comment.
When Ragini called out Swara, she wished him a nice day in a hurry and disconnected the call. Sanskar's well wishes for her were only heard by the breeze, not for long. Opening the gallery to find the saved screenshot of Swara's facebook feed, he contemplated his move for a while. In the end, he shook his head, Swara is my friend, there's nothing wrong in going through with it.

The person pedalling the rickshaw stopped, and both the sisters got off. As Ragini paid him, Swara took in the magnificent gate, it was as imposing as when she saw it last time which was yesterday. She loved how it welcomed her, yet challenged her at the same time. Adrenaline coursing through her veins confused Swara, if it was because she was excited or nervous.
That's when her moving gaze flickered over to a familiar figure on his phone at the other side of the road.
She crossed the student body venturing towards the University premises, to find him keeping his phone in the pocket.
"Sanskar?"
He smiled and opened the backdoor of the car, retrieving something Sanskar presented to Swara, "Here. All the best. You disconnected the call before I could wish you."
The bright yellow roses cushioning the chocolate packet elated her to the ninth cloud. Anxiety? What was that? Taking those from his hands, Swara could sense the faint rosiness in the air, "Thank you."
