When the phone rang for the third time and Swara didn't even turn in her sleep, Ragini answered the call of the one person she badly wanted to be disconnected from. Maybe, then her heart would be at rest.
"Hello, Swara!" Her heart trembled at Lakshya's voice, why couldn't this man just love me a little? Why was it that he loves Swara enough to call her at midnight, and he never even spared me a single glance?
Ragini's attention turned to the serene expressions on her face, "She fell asleep."
"Ragini."
The ice in his voice pierced through her heart, clearing her throat she continued, "It's quite late Lakshya, you should sleep as well."
He almost threw his phone away to bang his head on the wall from exasperation at her greatest well wisher's advice, "I can take care of myself."
She turned to the vermillion placed on their dressing table, and then back to Swara, "Ca-can you take care of Swara as well?"
"What are you-"
Ragini didn't have enough strength in her to right her wrongs, it was an opportunity which jumped on her lap and she wasn't foolish enough to let it go. She cleared her throat again to keep the voice from turning hoarse, "You love Swara, yes or no?"
He scoffed, "We would have been married if not for you. Yes! I love her!"
She held the nightstand focusing attentively on her sister's tranquil sleeping face even as her vision blurred, "If you get another-another chance with her, will you take care of her?"
Tears rolled down her cheeks, "Lifelong? Trust her? Adore her? Cherish her?"
"Why do you want to know it?"
Opening her eyes, she drew in a long breath, "Because I woke up Lakshya... Don't call her again."

Swara pulled the cover up with a frown, the sunrays were a bit early for her liking. Unable to tune out all the morning sound, she opened her eyes to sit with creased brows. Reaching out for her phone, Swara opened the messaging app.
Good morning.
Sanskar- Good morning, ready for the day?
Yes, you?
Sanskar- Definitely. I don't know what time I will get free today.
Yes, you told about your meeting. All the best.
Sanskar- Same to you.
Sanskar kept the phone down and shook his head with a small playing on his lips. His phone dinged again, Animesh had forwarded the day's schedule unfortunately also night's. He wasn't obliged to attend it, though since his intentions of showing SM's face became clear to his PA, the person pleaded to be discharged from his duty of reperesting Karma in such events.

Ragini was waiting for her sister outside the maingate when a car stopped before her. Her heart contracted, at Lakshya getting out from the driver's side. The eyes shooting dagger at her, weren't well rested, Ragini couldn't help but observe the dark circles under them. Even as he held her forearms hurting her in the process with his strength, she couldn't ignore how disoriented Lakshya was as his lips moved without stopping.
He will fall sick, like this, Ragini concluded.
He shook her, "Are you even listening to me? Why are you looking at me like that? I don't need your help regarding Swara, so you can leave both of us alone."
