Chapter 4

            Once again I see you
I woke up to my phone ringing. It was Ella. As I rub my eyes and say "hello?" Ella says "hey, we're gonna go to the dinner to catch up wanna come?" I say "sure" Ella says ok. I get up from my looking down on my phone into the bathroom. I have a flashback of when Ethan was hiding from my mom.I put my phone on the sink and I undressed myself so I could hop in the shower. I wash my hair and body. I get out and I put an outfit on I head down stairs to see my mom, not home nor Tadeo. I check their location on my phone and see my mom is in a hotel room 30 minutes away from my house and Tadeo at his friend's house. Normally when my mom goes out drinking she stays at her friends house but I find it wired. I text my mom and say Me:Hey, can I take the ranger over ? I'm going to dinner. Mom: Sure I'll be home at 5pm. Me:why so late? Mom:dont worry about it, have fun be safe love you. Me:ok! I find it weird but I grab the keys and drive there. I see Sam's white jeep wrangler parked outside of the 80's dinner. I park the car and go inside. I say hi to Ella and sam. Ella was telling us about how Jose rejected her kiss when they went to the lake. As I see Ella freeze up, I turn around and see Jose and the football team come in. I turn back around and see Sam get up and walk towards Jose and yell at him. Sam shoves me a little, signaling me to say something and I say "Yea!" After that I leave the dinner i call Ethan and it goes straight to voicemail I say
"Ethan can we please talk." I wipe my tears and say "at 5:30 at the place you asked me to be your girlfriend so we can at least talk." After I got home I went straight to my mom's office and checked her messages. I saw one from Josh it said Josh:Hey babe can't wait to see you! Mom:Me to! Josh:What are you going to tell Veronica and Tadeo? Mom: No I'm telling them I'm going to a bar with my friend don't worry ~winking face emoji~ Josh:Ok! I sit down in my moms black leather chair. I think to myself "how could she move on already dad only died a 3 years ago." "And she lied to me..." I snap out of my thoughts to the ding of a ding coming from my phone it's Ethan he says Ethan:Sure I have been meaning to talk as well. Me: ok great. At least that's better. I call my mom and say "hey! I'm going out with Ethan at 5:30." My mom says "ok how long will you be?" I tell her playing with the pen my dad gave her "I don't know maybe till 8:00?" My mom says to me giggling "ok have fun love you bye." Before I could even say anything she hung up. It was barely 3 so I had a while before going to meet Ethan. I peek outside of the window and I see Alexander's home. I decided to go check up on him. I walk to his house and knock on his front door. He answers and says "hey what are you doing here?" I say to him crossing my arms and putting my hair behind my ear "I came to check up on you last night your we're pretty drunk." He looks at me confused and says "yea my parents were out of town last night and well you know..." "no I know can i come in?" I say to him closing my lips. "Oh yea sure sorry!" He tells me. I sit down on his couch and his white little dog comes running to me. "hey Max!" I say while he's licking my face. "He really missed you and so did I." Alexander says handing me a glass of water. I look up and I say to him "thanks..." "listen Alexander Im in a relationship with someone and I'm happy." I tell him in a sad voice. "I know but I've changed please give me another chance I love you." He tells me. "Alexander we broke up 3 years ago" I tell him. "I know V but i was dumb and in a bad place." He tells me holding back his tears. "You were in a bad place?!my dad died and you decided to walk away from me,you were the first guy I loved." I tell him while a tear falls down my face. "I know and I'm sorry please Veronica." He tells me grabbing my arm. I stand up and put the glass cup on the table "I have to go" I say lifting my hands up so he can't get a hold of my arms. I walk out wiping my tears. I walk into my house and go straight to my room.I sit on my Woden bed with white covers. I turn and see the picture of my dad. I head downstairs and grab my moms range over keys with a palm palm on the keychain. I drive to the cemetery. When I get their I walk to my dads grave and sit next to it. "Dad I really need you why did you leave me." I say my voice braking. "I had an amazing boyfriend his name is Ethan. I love him so much." I hear my phone ringing it was my mom and a I answer it. My mom says "Ill be home tomorrow Jen wants me to stay another night with her." I tell her looking at my dads grave "you mean Josh?" She says "how do you know Josh?" I say scoffing "good bye mom." I hang up and get up kissing my dad grave. I drive home and change into a light wash shorts and a white tank top with a gray hoodie. I walk down stairs to see Tadeo coming in "he sis"He says. "Hey Tadeo mom called she will be out screwing a guy" I say putting on my shoes. "Ohhh you found out about Josh..." he says looking down. "What you knew and didn't tell me anything what the hell!" I say angrily looking up at him. "Listen i can explain everything" he says walking towards me. I get out and leave. I think to myself "why the hell, how could my own brother TWIN BROTHER lie to me" I drive to the beach even though it was only 30 min before meeting Ethan. But I needed to get out of that house. When I arrived I got out of my moms black range over and opened the trunk I got out a white beach towel. I walked towards the beach. I set down the white towel on the soft sand and sat down. Taking a deep breath I admire the beautiful oxen and how I've it was. As I feel a presence next to me sitting down I turn and see Ethan. Before I could say anything he says "hello Veronica."
