The sky was fading from a deep purple to a soft blue as hues of pink, yellow, and red dusted across the horizon.

Most people loved sunsets, but I always preferred the world at dawn as the sun rose slowly.

I loved how to world was still asleep and just beginning to churn.

I loved how active the animals were, knowing they were still safe from the disturbances of humans for a little while longer.

I loved the thought of a new beginning rather than a final ending.

I had been on the run for almost a year now, and I was just beginning to feel safe. I changed locations every other month or so, and this small village was by far my favorite place I had settled.

I sat on a small wooden stool with my easel set up in front of me, my paints and brushes on a simple tray by my side.

I hummed as I worked quickly, trying to catch the beauty of the morning on my canvas.

After everything, I never expected my life to finally feel so at peace, yet here I was, enjoying all the beauty this world had to offer.

"Gojo-sensei!!" Itadori called out. "Sensei, where are we!?!"

The blindfolded sorcerer laughed loudly, "Eh, we're almost there! Just keep up!"

Gojo had transported them to the middle of nowhere for a mission with an undisclosed purpose. But after walking endlessly through the thick forrest, Itadori was out of patience.

Gojo was always doing things that made no sense, wasting everyone's time with his tricks and games. And while his teammates were off hunting an actual curse, he was stuck in the woods.

Itadori's mouth gaped open as the finally reached the end of the tree line.

"Where are we?" he asked in awe as he looked out at the scenic display before them.

It was a small valley with rolling hills, the bright green grass speckled with colorful wildflowers.

In the distance rested a small village, the sound of laughing children and gossiping adults drifting through the fresh morning air.

He was raised outside a major city, but he had never experienced something so beautiful and untouched by modernity.

"Mm, good choice, Y/n," Gojo smiled to himself. "I could even picture myself settling down here."

"Y/n? Who's that?" the boy looked at his tall sensei.

"You'll meet her soon enough."

"It's perfect," I mumbled to myself as I studied my latest work. The sun was well above the horizon now, but I was able to finish the painting off of memory and imagination.

"It sure is," a voice called from right behind me, and I snapped my head back at the familiar sound.

Instantly, I jumped to my feet and tried to take off, only to find myself suspended in the air unable to move.

"Surprise," he cooed as he wiggled his fingers at me in a small wave.

"Gojo! Let me down!!" I cried as I flailed my limbs helplessly.

"No need to be so formal, Y/n. We're family after all," he smirked his annoying ass smirk.

"Family!? Is this your sister!?" a pink-haired boy appeared from behind him.
