"Can he survive down there?" Max asked.

"He can hold his breath, but not forever. He'll drown if we don't go down there." Lavagirl explained to Max.

"Not 'we', just me."

"What? Storm, are you crazy? You'll fizzle out if you go." Lavagirl said with a serious tone.

"So will you." We both stared at each other in silence before I decided to speak up.

"Lavagirl, I'm dying already. It's just that much easier if I go. Trust me. He's my best friend." I read her expression until she had finally decided to let me go. I dived into the water and swam to the bottom of the ocean, grabbed him and started to swim to the top.

"Here. Take him." I pulled him out of the water before I felt myself lose my grip and slip back in. I suddenly felt somebody grab my wrist and pull me out. I opened my eyes in the slightest and saw Max on his knees on my left and Lavagirl on my right.

"You saved me." I whispered to Lavagirl.

"We're best friends. We live together and we die together." I saw her take her last breath before my eyes finally closed my own. I felt Max trying to shake me awake when I suddenly heard Tobor and Max talking to each other.

"What am I gonna do?" He asked.

"What do you think you should do?" He responded.

"Dream a better dream."

"Interesting. Explain."

"I wanted all of my dreams to come true, but I only dreamt for myself. I wanted to escape my real world, when the world needed my help to make it a better place. Selfish dreams shouldn't come true."

"You're becoming a very good dreamer, Max. A very good dreamer indeed."

"What do you do when your dreams are destroyed?" I heard him ask.

"Dream a better dream. An unselfish dream." I heard somebody gasp when I realized that it must've been Sharkboy. I felt him take Max's spot and put his hand on my arm.

"She wanted to do it. She said that it would've been better if she did it, but she ended up back in the ocean and Lavagirl saved her. It was too late by the time she got her out. Lavagirl knew this would happen if she went down there to save her."

"Look! Lava!" Sharkboy exclaimed.

"We have to get Lavagirl to that volcano."

"I'll go. I'm stronger and faster."

"No. I'll take her." Max argued.

"I have a feeling that Storm is going to want you here if she wakes up."

"Is she going to wake up, Max?"

"I remember writing this riddle about her powers."

"Well what was it?"

"I'm made from fire at the beginning, but over time things will change. If I die, something the opposite will save me."

"What's the opposite of her power?" I heard Sharkboy ask.

"Water." Max stated.

"I'll help Storm. You help Lavagirl." Sharkboy said in a serious tone.

"Got it." Max responded.

"Are you sure this will save her?"

"This will do more than save her." I suddenly felt myself being picked up bridal style and being dropped into the water gently. My eyes immediately shot open and I saw that my legs had formed into a tail. I tried gasping for air, but I realized that I could breathe underwater. I immediately jumped out of the water and saw Sharkboy's amazed face. I started moving my finger around in a circular motion when a water tornado started lifting me up. I caught a glimpse of my hair and it was mixed with dark blue, teal, and sky blue. And my suit was now a light blue dress with seashells on it. I started to move the tornado towards the ice and I landed right in front of Sharkboy with a smile on my face.
