“So, you and Will are actually going away for the weekend,” Celeste nodded as I tossed my suitcase on top of the bed. I opened it wide as I motioned for Celeste to open my top drawer.
“Yeah,” I nodded. “I’m Will’s date for two parties.”
“Can’t believe you guys are getting along so well,” she nodded. “I’m glad I set you two up and you’re dating.”
I smirked after she said that. If only she knew that Will and I weren’t dating, I wonder what she would think of the two of us. She would probably think we were a couple of whores. But she should have known that it would’ve ended up like this. I’m just not the tie down kind of guy. I like to have fun.
“Could you pass me five pairs of boxers out of that drawer?” I asked as she gave me a look of disgust. I narrowed my eyes as she sifted through my underwear drawer. I couldn’t remember if I had anything weird in that drawer.
“Really?” Celeste said holding up a thong. “I don’t even want to know.”
“You think I would wear those? Someone left them here,” I admitted. “I keep it as a remembrance. By the way, it hasn’t been washed since.”
I chuckled as Celeste dropped them onto the floor after screaming in disgust. She rushed out of the room and ran into the bathroom. I could hear her washing her hands.
“It was a joke Celeste,” I called out to her. “Do you think I’m that disgusting?”
“I don’t know Emilio – you’re kind of a slut actually,” she smirked. “Who has sex on the second date?”
“I’m offended,” I said dramatically as I grabbed my boxers from my drawer and folded them in my bag. “I’m seeing Will, aren’t I?”
“Is he the only person you’re seeing?” Celeste winked.
“He’s the only person I’m seeing,” I began. “Repeatedly.”
“That’s’ what I thought,” she said sucking her teeth.
“I can’t help it Celeste,” I said innocently. “Everywhere I go, there’s someone hot who wants a piece of me. It’s just so hard out here for ridiculously good-looking people. How can I possibly maintain a relationship?”
“I’m sure,” Celeste groaned. “Oh darn, those people. But anyways, what time are you leaving?”
“I’m supposed to meet Will in a half an hour,” I replied. “Will is driving us there. It’s in the state over.”
“And you just started packing?” Celeste said giving me a look of complete and utter shock.
“No – I have another bag ready over there,” I huffed. “How stupid do you think I am?”
“Very,” Celeste teased.
“Well, this is the last of it,” I said zipping my suitcase shut. I tossed it beside the other one on top of my bed, as I dialed Will’s phone number. He was probably already finished packing by now. The phone rang a few times but went straight to voicemail. I shrugged – Well, he did say to meet him in a half an hour. If he doesn’t call back, I’ll just drive there.
WILL
I shoved my things into my suitcase as I zipped it closed. I was having a mental break down here. I couldn’t believe that in a few hours I was going to be in my hometown – at my house. It wasn’t too late to change my mind. I could still just say I came down with the flu or something. But knowing my mother, she would drag me down her with all of her power. I groaned as I glanced around for my cell phone.
