Jason's P.O.V:
Apparently we couldn't even go a few days out of Camp Half-Blood without a monster attack. And just my luck; it was empousai. Why did it have to be empousai? And just my luck, I was fighting them on my own since Pipes had gone to get the others.
"All alone sssssson of Jupiter? Have your friendssssss abandoned you already?" One of the three empousai hissed at me.
"No." Although he was starting to wonder. Pipes had been a while now; he didn't know if he could take all three at once.
"You don't ssssseem ssssssure demigod. Ssssssuch a sssssshame to kill sssssssomeone ssssso pretty."
"Prettier than me you mean? Well now you're just plain rude." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at Percy's arrival. He was still in his P.E kit, and carrying Riptide. And behind him was Hazel, Frank, Octavian and... Reyna? Oh gods someone warn Pipes. "You weren't thinking of fighting them without me were you bro?" Percy asked, arriving next to me.
"I wouldn't dream of it. Hey Frank, Hazel, Reyna... Octavian." I say. Octavian glares at me and remains at the other end of the corridor, but I'm pretty sure that's because of the empousai, not me. Reyna smiles awkwardly, and Hazel and Frank wave.
"If you're done with your reunion, we were in the middle of killing him." One of the empousai says. Reyna's eyes narrow.
"Good luck with that." The empousai charge us, and in less than a millisecond we're in a full blown fight in the school corridor. I wonder if we can get suspended for this...
"Hey dude, where's Pipes?" I ask Percy while Hazel, Frank and Reyna fight off some of the empousai. Octavian remains cowering in the corner.
"I don't know. I haven't seen her. Duck!" Percy says. I look around.
"A duck? Where?" He rolls his eyes and shakes his head at me. What did I do?
"No you idiot! Duck!" Oh right. Yeah that makes more sense. I duck as Percy swings Riptide and slices the head off of the last remaining monster. She disintegrates with the others.
"We're here we're here! What did we miss?" Leo Valdez runs in followed by Annabeth and Pipes. They look around.
"We missed the fight didn't we?" Annabeth sighs, and looks Percy over as though checking for life threatening injuries. She's even more protective than Piper.
"Are you alright? Did you get hurt?" Piper asks, running over to me. Forget that last point.
"I'm fine. I had help." Piper notices Hazel, Frank, Reyna and Octavian. I see her eyes harden. Oh gods. Percy obviously notices and thankfully intervenes.
"Okay. Why don't we all go and sit down. There's a bit of explaining to do."
"You could say that again." Annabeth says. This should be fun.

Okay I'm really sorry I haven't updated I've been busy with revision and haven't had a chance! I hope you enjoy :)
Oh and as you've probably noticed the cover for this story... well it doesn't exist. But if anyone wanted to make one I'll dedicate the next chapter to them??
