Sarah walked into the dining room, where all of the children were eating dinner.
"Tonight if you look out of your window, you might be able to see the northern lights." She said to the kids.
"Will they be bright?" A small boy asked.
"No Gregory, I don't think they will be. They are very far from here, however you all should be able to see them slightly before bed at 9:00 because I have to take Micheal to his foster parents later tonight ."

Isabella listened to what Sarah was saying and had a great idea: what if she somehow got pillows and blankets onto the roof of the shed, and propped up the ladder against it so her and Leslie could watch the lights from up there.
"Can we go outside and see them?" Isabella asked.
"No, I'm sorry Isabella but you still have to go to bed and stay inside when it's dark out." Sarah said.

"Hmm...it's okay. We will just go when she's asleep." Isabella thought to herself.

All of the children had been put to bed just a half hour ago. Isabella laid in bed, awake, thinking of when she should sneak into the boys room to wake up Leslie.
"Mama is probably still awake and she probably still will be for a little while since she has to tidy up the house" Isabella mumbled to herself. "I'll go to sleep for a bit, then wake up so we can go!"

2:15 am
Isabella sat up quickly in her bed.
"Is it morning? How long did I fall asleep for?" Isabella mumbled to herself.
She looked at the clock: 2:15 am.
She sighed in relief that she didn't miss her chance to see the lights.

She put on her socks, and tip-toed out of her room and into Leslie's.
   "Leslie." Isabella whispered, shaking him.
Leslie opened his eyes, and saw Isabella standing over him.
"Izzy what are you doing?"
"Get up! Follow me!" She whisper-yelled.
Leslie did as she said and followed her outside, climbed up onto the roof of the shed, and sat down.
"Look up." Isabella said.
They both looked up at the sky and saw the glistening northern lights.
"Wow that's beautiful." Leslie said back.

They both laid down to keep looking at the sky and Leslie started humming a song to himself.
"That's a pretty song. What's its name?" Isabella asked.
"I didn't name it."
"You made it? It's beautiful! Let me hear more of it!" Isabella said excitedly.
"Okay, but don't tell anyone..that would be too embarrassing." He said back.
"Pinky promise." Isabella said, holding out her pinky.

Leslie sang her the rest of the song, making Isabella feel extremely tired.
They were about to go back inside the house when they saw that the gate was open.
"Look. It's open." Leslie said, pointing at the gate.
"Micheal got sent to his foster parents today. Let's go check it out!" Isabella said, jumping off of the ladder and beginning to run to the gate.
"Izzy! We will get in trouble!" Leslie said, running after her.
"Not if Mom doesn't find out we won't!" She said, grabbing his hand and continuing towards the gate.

They got to the gate, where they saw nothing but a big truck, which had curtains that were the slightest bit open.
Isabella tip-toed over to the truck and opened the curtain.
Inside she saw Micheal, dead, inside of a jar.

Leslie saw him too, and was about to react when he saw that Isabella was going to scream.
He ran to Isabella and covered her mouth with his hand.
"Shh! Whatever this is, isn't good. We don't want anyone to know that we're here or we could end up like Micheal." He said, pulling Isabella back so they could go back to the house.

Right as they were about to start running back to the house they bumped into someone...

"Help! Help! It's a monster!" Isabella yelled as the demon picked her up by the leg and started moving her towards his face.
Leslie started to hit the demon in an attempt to set Isabella free.

The demon held Isabella out towards a shadow of a person, it was Sarah.
"Can't I just eat it! She looks so good!" The demon asked.
"No! Help me!" Isabella cried.
"Mom! Save her! There's a monster!" Leslie screamed.

Sarah motioned for Leslie to be quiet.
"No. You may not eat her." She said to the demon.
"But the know the secret!" The demon pleaded.
"They might not know all of it, plus they are top quality children."
"It's a farm. You are raised to be eaten by demons. You live in a farm, not an orphanage, there's not way out. There. Now they know it all." The demon said to Sarah.
"Put my child down and be gone." Sarah said sternly.

Sarah put one hand on Leslie's shoulder, and one hand on Isabella's.
"Now you know. Leslie you will be shipped out December 15th instead of next January, Isabella you will be shipped out February 1st instead of next September." Sarah said, pushing the terrified kids back to the house.
