hello everyone!I would quickly like to put out a few things.
Firstly, my writing skills are not all that remarkable. Please don't come in this expecting Adam Silvera or Oscar Wilde type shit, because I am definitely not that-
Secondly, I will TRY, key word being TRY, to update at least every other Friday. I usually don't stick to schedules though, so...
I also really appreciate comments and constructive criticism! With that being said, you can find me as @art._.school._.wannabe on insta! enjoy~

It was morning. The smell of breakfast and coffee intertwined with the air as Langa and his mother ate; peaceful silence fell over the both of them. Rays of sun peaked through the windows, shining through the entirety of the house and adding a soft glow to the atmosphere.
It was then, when the birds were singing and the passerby's were on their morning jogs and the light hit the plants at an angle that made them seem impossibly beautiful, Nanako decided to break the silence they had shared.
A small cough came from her lips as she laid her fork down on her plate, earning her son's attention as he looked up at her. She gave a small smile as she started to speak.
"So... I was thinking.." she hummed; her voice was soft. Langa tilted his head slightly as she continued, "My friend's renting out her lake house this summer, and her and I were talking." She gave a brief pause.
"And I thought that we could rent it out for a little while. Like a vacation, you know? It would be a good time too since you just graduated and all!" Her gaze never left Langa, it was hopeful and questioning, even if she hadn't asked anything just yet. She smiled to him just as she said brightly, "You wanna go?"
At this, he completely stopped eating as he pondered Nanako's question. Of course he wanted to go, anyone in their right mind would want to go, but he couldn't help but to think about all of the things he had to do here.
What about work? He couldn't just take off, could he? He had responsibilities here now; a perfectly crafted schedule he didn't want to break. And on top of that, what about skateboarding? And S? And—
He deflated just a little bit at the thought of it. What about Reki?
He didn't really want to leave him, as clingy as that sounded. It's not like he would absolutely refuse to go anywhere without Reki, he was his own person with his own personality and his own things he needed to do, plenty of which didn't involve him. But with that being said, he really didn't want to leave Reki.
He must have worn a sour expression from all of the thoughts swarming his head because his mom soon started looking at him in concern. It seems as if something had clicked in her mind, however, because the concern she had plastered on her face was quickly replaced with a more thoughtful expression.
Almost as if Nanako knew exactly what her son was thinking, she added in a cheerful manner, "Oh right! If you wanted to, you could ask Reki if he wanted to join us," she beamed, "As long as his mom's okay with it, that is."
