That was it.

I watched you from my seat,
Inside the train.

It was finally my time to

l e a v e

You stood out on the platform,
smiling at me.
But I could see,

Strains of tears on your cheeks.

As much the farewell hurt,
I pretended to keep strong.
While I too,

Just wanted to cry my heart out.

I never told you about the letter I lost.

Not long after,
The train signal resounded.
You heard it too,
And stepped a little back.

I experienced the motion of moving..
The train was about to pick up its speed.

When you shouted something,
It was difficult to hear,
But I could make it out.

Instead of a goodbye,
You said,

"I want to walk under the cherry blossoms with Jiminie. Lets meet again in spring!"
