Easter 1986

Kid's Pov

"Okay, Kid you're next."

Finally, I finally was about to take a photo with the Easter bunny. I felt sleepy a little but all of this effort was worth it for one single photo. I stood there waiting for my turn as the other kid and his mother went somewhere in the mall. Something told me not to walk up there. I hesitantly stood there for like about 2 minutes until I heard the photographer yelling at me annoyed to get up there.

"Come on kid. Get your ass up there."

I scrambled towards the bunny, climbed on his lap, and sat there afraid of what he might do to me. I pretended to smile in order to not cause any attention or make a scene. I sat there still as the photographer was about to shoot the photo.

"Smile Kid."

I smiled widely even though I was faking it. I could feel the bunny staring at me melting holes onto my head. I started to nervously shake, wanting this to be over so I can find my mom.

"Say CHEESE!"

(2 minutes later)

I opened my eyes trying to adjust them so I can see clearly. I got up from the floor and started to look around my surroundings. Geez, I must have fallen asleep. I got out of the photo booth, expecting my mom to be here. Turns out I was wrong, I started to feel a little scared She wouldn't leave me here alone....R-Right? No! She wouldn't do that! She loves me. R-Right? I know she does and I'll find her!

"Mom? Is the mall closed?"

I turned around to see doors. Great! now I can get out of here. I ran to the doors but it was locked. Dang it! It's locked, I can't go out this way. I started to run to the tables then to the isles of stores that were obviously closed. I continue to search for my mom but turns out, No luck. She wouldn't leave me here alone like this. Maybe she forgot? hope so. I saw a security gate. Hmm, It looks like a can crawl under them. I crawled underneath the security gate, making sure I didn't touch it. After I safely crawled through the gate I got back up again and started running towards wherever I'm going. I saw the Easter photo booth was. 'That's where the easter bunny was taking photos. It sure is empty now.' I thought to myself as I walked towards the chair.

I reached the chair...But something was giving a terrible vibe that someone was watching me. I slowly got scared as I ran out of the photo booth where the easter bunny's chair was and dipped before I got caught. I ran back past the stores and found a key on the floor. Picked it up I turned around to see a piece of paper on the wall that said missing. I read the paper and was shocked. A kid...Missing??? This is definitely giving chills down my spine. I continued walking until I saw another gate. I took the key that I just found and unlocked it, I crawled through again but more careful this time so I wouldn't create noises if someone is there. I ran past everything until I was out of breath. I slowly start walking until I was ready to run again.

(Timeskip)

Ahh! An Exit! I ran towards the exit only to find...corridor. A long one too. Well, that doesn't matter because I am going to just find and just careful! I ran past door to door hoping to find an exit. I don't want to be here anymore. I want to be with my Mom again. I miss her so much. I continued to walk down the long hallway until I saw him.. The Bunny rabbit..He had a hook!? I ran down the opposite side killing my legs. But I let my legs take over.

I could hear him coming closer so I took a left and hurriedly open the bathroom door. I ran into the stall to hide so I hid peeked underneath in order to see him and where he was going. I heard a lock being locked. This made my heart dropped in fear as I know that there was no escape. It appears that he was looking through the stalls in order to find me. Mom please I'm scared. I waited for him to leave the bathroom.
