Daddy Issues

Chapter 53:

That night after me and Draco talked about it and finally made up, we spent all night with each other.

"It's gonna be nice finally sleeping in the same bed as you." I say lacing my fingers with his.

"I haven't been sleeping well either without you." He said and I looked up at him as sniffled.

I placed my hand on his face and smiled, "It's okay love. We're together now and that's all that matters."

I climbed on his lap and he wrapped his arms around me as I laid my head on his shoulder.

"I love you." He whispered.

"I love you more." I mumbled.

He softly rocked back and forth as he rubbed my back.

"Are you sure you want this?" He asked.

"I'm sure, but even if I wasn't there's no backing out now." I sigh.

"Why are you doing this for me?"

I pull away and look at him.

"I'm doing it because I love you and I don't want to live without you." I wrap my arms around his neck and frown.

"You're literally crazy, you know?"

I laugh and smile.

"Crazy in love with you."

I kiss his lips gently and pull away.

I laid my head back on his shoulder and he rocked up back and forth slowly.

After maybe thirty minutes he broke the silence, making my heart break.

"Do you like James..?" His voice sounded hollow, like he was dreading this moment.

"What?" I pull away and look at him, "No, of course not. Where did you get that from?"

"Well you so willingly kissed him, it just made me start thinking if you liked him more or not." He shrugged.

"I kissed him to get back at you. I don't like him like that and never will. He creeps me out." I say in defense.

"Okay I was just making sure." He sighs.

"I only love you, please remember that." I kiss him softly on his lips before getting off his lap.

"Where are you going?"

"To my dorm, I need to shower." I said opening his room door. "Are you coming?"

He gets up from his bed and follows me to my room. I grab some clothes before turning the water on, undressing and stepping into the shower.

I wash my hair and body before getting out and drying myself off. I change and do what I need to and when I'm done I sit on my bed.

"I'm exhausted." I groan and Draco comes and sits next to me.

"Then why don't we go to bed?"

"Because it's only 7:30 and I don't go to bed that early. Let's go sit by the fire in the common room." I get up from my bed.

I slip some shoes on before walking out my room with Draco. I lay down across the couch and open my legs as he lays between them. I play with his hair and watch the fire.

"We'll be okay, right?" I ask.

"We're gonna be okay love." He looks up at me.

"Promise?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I can't make a promise that I don't know if I can keep." He frowns.

"I know, I just wish we knew we'd be okay." I sigh and lean my head back.
