To say that the Salvatore brothers were a thorn in my side would not exactly be a lie. They are being a thorn in my side. Firstly, whenever Stefan isn't at school he's coming by for something and it apparently isn't to see my niece. Then there's Damon who hardly leaves at all and seems content to live in the house with us.

It doesn't help that they've been glaring daggers at each other either all the time. At the moment it's the 15th of November. Thanksgiving is coming up and the Bed and Breakfast is nearly done.

"They said that it'll be about a week." Lexi says with a smirk as she bumps my shoulder with hers. "Relax girl, your Bed and Breakfast is going to be just fine."

"Ugh. You are such a sweetie." I say with a chuckle and then I sigh as I put my head in my hands before glancing back at her. "So, how is the boyfriend?"

"Good. He's been adjusting to - the new town." Lexi comments with a smile, like she's hiding a secret. Technically she thinks that she is. "So far he seems to like it a lot."

I hold back a snort. In quote, what she means is 'he's adapting to being a vamp'. Not that she knows that I know that. "That and red wine."

"Red wine?" She comments in confusion before her eyes widen and she nods vigorously. "Yes, he definitely likes red wine.. and tomato juice."

"Over again Lexi?" Zach asks her kindly as he steps into the kitchen with a polite smile on his face. "Not running away screaming from her yet?"

"Nope." Lexi says with a wide smile, popping the 'p' as she spoke. "She's where all the actions at."

Huffing I lightly whack her on the back of the head which causes her to chuckle. "Shut it missy. I'll have you know that I'm terribly boring." Then sarcastically I add. "Do you work for us or do we work for you?"

She chuckles. "As long as you're not firing me I work for you. If you fire me, then .. well, I will still be hired soo.."

I snort in amusement just as I hear Damon walk into the house with Stefan following beside him. Both of them are arguing quietly with each other, their lips hardly moving. Then they come to a stop in front of the kitchen and glance around at us.

"Jenna." Damon says with a lopsided smile, his blue eyes sparkling but yet dark and enticing. "Looking lovely today I see."

"Personally, I think the black is getting old." I quip. "You do own more then one pair of everything right?"

His smile grows and for a moment I swear I saw one of his fangs as he wiggles his eyebrows at me. "You can come do a closet check for me if you want. I don't mind."

Chuckling I shake my head and then glance at Stefan who is glaring at Damon. Sure, Stefan might think that he's being subtle - but he's not.

"How about you grumpy?" I ask Stefan in slight amusement. "Did you lose Snow White or something?"

"Huh?" He blinks and shakes his head. "Uh, no. I uh.. wanted to know if you will need a hand for when you open."

Damon shoves his brothers shoulder, a dark glare on his face as a slight fog fills the room before it clears suddenly. "I was going to offer my help actually, you know. Stefan's still young and in school."

"Shut up Damon ." The younger brother snaps in a whisper, probably louder then he intended. Not that I will acknowledge the outburst anyway.

Because of the whole 'Lexi and Lee' are basically moving in thing I had to lower the amount of Vervain in the filtration system. It's safe to say that both Lee and Lexi are building a tolerance to the plant now. It was a bit of bummer though, not that it seems to be doing anything to the Salvatore brothers anyway, sadly. So, now I make sure it's stays on our clothes and on certain surfaces too.
