When Zach and I got back from our endeavors we were exhausted and ironically, burnt out. My body hurt from overexerting itself when I lifted Enzo, because despite the fact that he was being starved he was still heavy. Enzo, as expected didn't stick around for more then the amount of time to find someone to drain. Luckily we weren't the victims of that. To be fair, we didn't exactly get to meet him either. I'm fairly sure he didn't stay around long enough to do pleasant night time greetings.

When we arrived at home Jeremy was sitting on the couch next to a very familiar vampire though. A darling one who is named Anna to be precise. He looks up as we walk into the house and raises an eyebrow at us both.

"What we're you two doing?" He asks us both suspiciously as he crosses his arms over his chest causing Anna to look at us both curiously as well.

"I smell smoke." Anna adds with a small frown as she wrinkles her nose and tilts her head and repeats Jeremy's question in a similar suspicious tone. "What we're you two doing?"

"Nothing." We both say quickly causing both children, vampire and human to snort and roll their eyes in disbelief.

"Liar." Jeremy says in amusement causing Anna to give him a half smirk when he wasn't looking.

She is definitely into him, she will likely claim otherwise if she ever gets her mom out of that tomb though. Which should honestly be happening sometime soonish IF you go by the original time table of things anyway.

Raising an eyebrow at Jeremy he frowns. "Dear nephew.. I believe you did something without telling me."

"I only removed it Aunt Jenna, I'll put it back once she leaves. Anna is really cool." He says in protest once he realizes I'm referring to the vervain in the filtration system.

Anna begins to frown as she looks between the three of us in confusion and then shifts uncomfortably in her spot on the couch. "Removed what?"

We all end up glancing at her at the same time causing her to apparently become even more uncomfortable by accident. "That's creepy." She whispers.

"Sorry." We apologize, ironically at the same time again.

"Really?" Jeremy replies curiously as he turns slightly on the couch to look at her directly.

Her brows scrunch up in confusion as she eyes him and then us in thought. "Why? Is it a secret?"

"Sorta, but not necessarily." I reply cautiously. "The problem is.. if if we tell you, cause trust me Jere if we could and I knew for absolute certainty that we could trust her. ."

I might have to make some truth serum, I wonder if it would work on vampires like it does on the humans that I have interrogated in my last life.

Having a vampire on our side could come in handle honestly, but there's a lot of factors at work when it comes to all of that none sense. Not to mention she could decide to betray us, or she could go about her normal fate and end up dead.

To be fair I would prefer it if her mother remains with the living as well however. Then there's the fact that I would like to track down a lapis lazuli ring for Lexi and her boyfriend-vampire and pass it off as a gift for all of their help.

"But you don't know for sure if you can trust me." Anna says as she tilts her head and frowns again before adding. "It must be a pretty big secret then."

"Sort of." Zach says. "For those who don't know about it it is."

"Let me begin with this." I say simply as I move to sit on the recliner opposite of the two. "If you use my nephew or niece to wake up your mother I will kill you. But, aside from that.. when you do open the tomb and wake your mother I believe the three of us should have a nice little chat."
