Chapter 69

It was a new day finally. Kourt laid on the bed watching me dress up.

" don't look cute. Wear jeans and crocs". She said " I need you looking like a delinquent so people find you less attractive " she says jokingly.

" I look good in everything, even my birthday suit. You know this " I reply.

" especially, your birthday suit" she winks at me and I laugh.

" jokes aside, how do you feel today? "
I ask and she just sigh.

" honestly, I'm great. Today is a good day plus the girls are coming over while you're out. I miss them so much" she says. 

" happy you're happy" I reply. I about to pick up my sneakers then I change my nind and wear my crocs instead.

I'm about to be on my way out when I hear noise downstairs.

" the princess has arrived !!!" A voice yells as the doors are opened. I know my sisters voice anywhere. I hear kourt scream and dash last me. Since when did she have such energy? Isn't this the woman who makes me get her dinner everyday cause her feet are too tired of get them, scam.

" oh my God you're finally here" kourt says hugging and swinging the poor little girl.

" hey Kayleigh" I say giving the kid a hug. I missed her but I don't want to show it, I'll never outlive it.

" hello sibling " she says giving me a smile "hug me back" she says squeezing me.

" gotten something to eat ? " kourt asks.

" how come you never ask what I want to eat ?" I reply.

" cause you get all the dinner you need boo " she gives me a small kiss on my lip.

" ewww you guys, guest here"  Kayleigh says.

" you're about to have a nephew, or niece. You know how she was made " I reply holding my baby and our baby.

" you guys are nasty" she replies.

" we're aware, that's why your room is down the hall now" I add.

" stop annoying her" kourt says playful  tapping my arm.

" finally, someone gets me in this family" Kayleigh sighs.

" I had the torture of experiencing you and Jake believe me this is a tip of the iceberg. " I respond and Kayleigh tries to hit me with her luggage.

" can't wait for Asia to get here, y'all are annoying" she says and I agree.

"Anyway girls, I'll be on my way" kiss kourt gently on her lips with Kayleigh making vomit sounds in the background " I'll bring y'all  food on my way back" I say as I head towards the door and kourt walks me towards the car.

" sure you wanna go out today? " she asks " what does Jess even want to talk about in the first place" she says. I can sense worry in her tone but  she tries to mask it.

" I bet it's nothing important. It's Jess " I say kissing her forehead as my car gets brought to the entrance.

" bye babe " I say as I make my way towards the car.

I see her silhouette in the distance as I drive off.

I make my way towards Stumptown, there are a ton of students in the area and freelancers typing away on their  Mac book while sipping their coffee. As soon as I enter, I spot Jess at the far right of the shop. She had ordered breakfast and was munching away.

" hey" I greet as I take my seat.

She tried to respond but her mouth is stuffed so she waits for a few minutes swallowing her meal before she responds.

" hey Liam, I haven't seen you in forever" She says.

" me too " I smile at her.

We talk for a few seconds catching up on old times. " remember when you guys went to Italy and you fell i that river?" She said.

" that was super embarrassing. There were stones in my boxers and there was sand in my hair for like a week" I say laughing. We continue laughing till the awkwardness sets in.
" soooo"

" sooo?"

" yh what did you want to talk about " I ask?

" Liam you know I care about my family and by my family, I mean my sister and I really hate that you did what you did to her" I'm tired of this conversation already and quickly cut her off.

" Jess, Angelique and I, that chapter is over. I agree that things did not exactly end the way we wanted them to but we have a mutual understanding and we're both in love with different people " I say

" that makes no sense. You were both on vacation together before your wedding and she was on your honeymoon. You're just saying this cause you're about to have a baby. How do you even know the child is yours? Did you get a DNA test"

" Jess, I respect you. however, I'll have to take my leave. It's not solely insulting to me but insulting to my wife that you would insinuate such nonsense and slander her character" I'm starting to feel my blood boil and want to leave as soon as possible.

" if it's not true, then why are you upset. I suggested you get a DNA test. The world is thinking it. Weren't y'all on a three Way during your honeymoon. Oh I know the true story and not all that bullshit you told the press"

" look, I broke up with Angelique and I have moved on I think you should take sometime to move on and heal too" I replied.

" well if not for you, she wouldn't be marrying that man "

" how am I the reason she's marrying Andre, she chose him. I did not hold her hostage and promise to bomb the world if she does not marry him. SHE CHOSE HIM, NOT ME" I state firmly.

" you humiliated her, publicly. you really think she had a choice" she responds.

" I don't know if you're aware but people break up, relationships and situationships go bad, what I'm not going to do is allow you drag an innocent girl into this mess" I pick up my belongings and start to leave.

" I guess we shall see then " I hear Jess say and Franky, I agree with her.

" yes, we shall see"
