Chapter 11

"So we have a surprise for the bride from a guy who's totally smitten by her and threatened to kill me if I even look towards her direction" Jake announces which grabs my attention. I didn't even notice Liam was no longer by my side and by the time I look up, all the lights are turned off leaving only three chandeliers on.

I hear soft music playing in the background. I know the sound, I just can't remember what song it is but it seems so familiar I just can't seem to remember it.
I try to hum the melody in my head maybe I could place the words to the song.

"Kourtney, we need you on the dance floor" Jake announces and I try to stand up, adjusting my dress so I don't flash everybody too much skin. I'm still so confused by what is going on. Asia walks up to me to help me get up so I don't end up tripping and she escorts me to the dance floor. She whispers something that sounded like "good luck" in my ear but due to the loud music, I could barely hear her.

I'm standing there while the music keeps playing. What the hell is going on? I see Liam's figure coming towards me and two other guys. I spot Jake but I don't know who the other guy is. I didn't even notice Jake was no longer on the stage.

Liam is the first to come towards me and I already know what is about to happen. It is going to leave me dying of embarrassment.
Liam finally reaches my side and slides his hands around my waist pulling me close to him.

"What is going on?' I ask.

"Well Jason Derulo is on tour but I hope you like it" he says as Jake starts to play the piano while the other guy starts to sing the lyrics to Jason Derulo's it girl oh my God I could actually start crying. The moment he opened his mouth, the whole room goes quiet. It was like an angel descended on earth and decided to bless us with his voice. I start to sing along, I was so lost in the rhythm till I feel Liam's mouth on my ear.

"Can I have this dance miss?" He asks and I start to smile literally the biggest smile ever and if I smiled any wider, I would look like the joker cause I wouldn't have any mouth left.

"Of course Liam". I respond and he spins me around. I'm not the best dancer but thanks to boarding school and attending a lot of dreadful parties, I know the basics.

We slow dance to the song till the boy finally stops singing. That has to be the best dance ever. As soon as he finishes, all the lights come back on and I see Asia crying into her gown, she's so dramatic.

Liam stretches out his arm and leads me back to our seat. I can't help but smile. It's insane how crazy today has been from all of the drama to this.

I spot my grandad and his caretaker Maureen make their way towards us. I still feel kinda weird that we are in this situation but if he says it is for the best then there really isn't anything I can do about it.

"Liam my boy! I've been looking all over for you". He says giving Liam a gentle pat on the back "I can see you are already smitten by my gorgeous Kourtney. See Maureen, I told you they would make a good match". He says turning to his caretaker.

"They certainly do, congrats on your wedding Liam and Kourtney. It was a really beautiful ceremony". She says smiling.

"Thank you". We chorus.

"I have not seen your grandfather around today Liam, any idea where he might be" he says "I just wanted to congratulate the young couple. I can't wait for the grandkids to start rolling in". He says chucking which makes me start to think, people would actually expect us to start having children now since we're married. We don't even plan on living in the same house, children are not part of our contract.
