Her Crush

Chapter 2

Chaeyoung has a lot of book in her hands. She's going to return the books to the library. Since it was the start of a new semester she felt like she was drowning in homework, and she needs a lot of reference to help her and get it done.

She was in hurry and too ocupied with the books in her hand, she didn't see her way when she turn left in the hallway that lead to the library until she heard someone grunted and she dropped her books. She looked up immediately just to see that Jeon Jungkook was in front of her. She can feel her heart stopped for a moment and then started thundering in the next second when those doe eyes staring at her. From hundred of student and she ran into him. Great Chaeyoung, just great..

"I'm sorry" she said immediately. For the whole semester she'd have to bump her crush in the hallway because of her clumsiness. She wanted to facepalm herself.

"It's okay" his lips tipped up on the corners as he knelt then started gathering up her stuff.

Dipping down, she let her hair fall forward and shield her face as she also started grabbing up her books. "You don't have to help me."

"It's no problem."

"Really I'm sorry" she curse at herself. What he's gonna think about her.

With all her books back in her bag, he stood as he handed the last item back to her. "It's okay." That crooked grin spread, revealing a little dimple in his left cheek. She duck her head, feeling warm all of sudden she believe her cheeks already blushing red right now. She need to get away from him. Chaeyoung step to the left so she can passed him and go, but he also stepped in front of her. She took a step to the right, he also took another step in front of her at the same time. Jungkook chuckled. Then he grabbed her shoulders and go around together.

"There. You can go your way, I can go my way" he grinned at her. But Chaeyoung didn't see that. She was too busy thinking about how fast her heart's beating because of him, holding her shoulder. So she just nodded, before continue her way to the library as fast as she could. She can hear he say 'be careful' from afar.

Library was in the second floor of the building. All around her, students walked in groups of two or larger, many obviously knew each other. Instead of feeling left out, there was a precious sense of freedom in walking without being recognized.

When she arrived at the library, she walked straight to the librarian. "Chaeyoung, are you okay? You looks so red" Ms. Kim asked her.

"Uhm, I'm okay. It just so hot today.. I mean outside, yeah.." she forced a smile. Ms. Kim raised an eyebrow at her. "I'll return all of these books" Chaeyoung add quickly. Ms. Kim just shook her head at her student.

Then she threaded through a few groups, finding an empty spot across inside the library, she sat down against the wall in the corner and crossed her legs. Excited to be starting open her astronomy book.

"Girl, what are you doing sitting here all alone?"

Her head jerked up and a smile broke out across her face when she saw the wide, bright smile of Yugyeom face. They'd buddied up during spring festival last week through Lisa along with Bambam too, the two boys also in senior years but they're in different class. She'd immediately warmed to their outgoing personality.

"It's comfortable down here. You should join me."

"Hell no. I don't want my fine ass to be tainted by sitting on that floor." He propped a hip against the bookshelf beside her and grinned. "Wait. Where's Lisa?"

"Dance practice?"

"Of course she is" he nodded.

"What are you doing here anyway? This is so not you being in the library" Chaeyoung ask.

"Group task" he shrugged.

"Then why are you having conversation with me right now? Go and help your friends"

"Are you kidding me Chae? I just going to show my face to them and then I will leave. Such a bad day if I have to end up in the library a whole day" Chaeyoung chuckled and shook her head.

"You call it bad day? What about me who bumped into someone and turn out it was the most popular student in the school" and Chaeyoung regret immediately with what she said, no, he shouldn't know that, but the spark of interest in Yugyeom's eyes was kind of funny as he looked at her.

"Do tell," he said, smiling.

"Well, it was so, so embarrassing."

"Embarrassing stories are the best," Yugyeom threw out, now kneeling down. "Spill it, sister."

"Yugyeom!" One of his friend call him, Chaeyoung relieved.

"Ah, damn" he muttered.

"You can't escape now Yugy. Good luck" Chaeyoung teased.

"You still owe me that story" he stood up.

"I don't own you anything" she shrugged.

"You're worst than Lisa" he shook his head. Chaeyoung grinned.

The rest of the day wasn't nearly as eventful as her morning had been, much to her pleasure. No more humiliating incidents. She'd really been planning on spending most of her day being a loner. Lisa was still busy training the new member in their club. Seriously how that girl managed to study if her activities mostly at the dance club.

Chaeyoung was looking out for an empty seat in the cafetaria. If it's not because of her growling stomach, maybe she won't go to this place, a crowded place absolutely. She found one empty sit at the outside. Nice, she thought. She place her tray on the table. Then pulled out her phone. She's going to watched some travel vlog while eating her lunch.

She was munching her kimchi fried rice, when someone suddenly appeared in front of her. She jerk in surprise and looked up. It's him. Jungkook was standing in front of her looking as handsome as always. His dark hair looked like he had been running his hands through it and when she saw that he was talking to her, she immediately took off her earphone.

"Is someone already sitting in this seat?" He repeated. Chaeyoung shake her head. "May I?" He ask again. She nodded. He smiled at her, a beautiful smile, making her poor, lonely heart turn over. But then reality hit her. Jeon Jungkook just sit in front of her! What should she do now, Lisa help!
