"I heard you were fast." Archie commented to Atlanta as they dodged the Typhus's snake legs. Having gotten into a tight spot with no more viable spots to hide since the Typhus had just blown them up in frustration.

"Very!"

"We need to split its focus! You go on the other side of it." Archie smirked. And he left no room for Atlanta to question his plan as he instead began to run forward to the power cables. Though that didn't stop Atlanta from making her objections.

"Me?! Why me!"

"Because I'm kind'a busy over here!" Archie had used his whip with an impressive talent as he wrapped it around one of the legs and then began to tether it to the cable using his end of it.

Resigned, Atlanta leaned back before launching herself into the fray. The Typhus, now setting its eyes on her seemingly "escaping" form, began to flap its wings harder to get to her. However, since it was now tied to the cable it couldn't reach past a certain point. The cable in question was now suffering a great amount of pressure and was close to a snapping point as it was being lifted and bent in the air precariously.

Despite all that was going on around him, Cronus finally lifted one more finger and pushed the big red button. A vile smile plastered on his face. In immediate response, the laser revved up and launched a stream of wavy light out into the sky and straight into space. Jay's team and the Giants fighting them stopped their movements and could only watch with slackened jaws.

With a reverberating boom, the actual sound and volume of it delayed and quiet since this occurred in space, the comet Cronus had been eyeing up this entire time was now in a gazillion pieces. But that wasn't the only thing, no, because now the Earth has acquired a new ring of sparkling comet bits spinning around its axis. Altogether beautiful, and would seemingly be harmless if the teens hadn't known that Cronus was the one to cause this. So all they could all do, including Cronus himself, was to look at the splendor of a destroyed comet.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Now since the laser was powered by the most gargantuan cables the word has ever seen due to their need to carry an entire coast line's worth of electricity to power one God's laser, and since a certain monster was now connected to said cables due to a certain hero's electricity-conductive whip, this meant that the Typhus was directly on the receiving end of a killer amount of said electricity. So much so that one could wager it was like being struck down by Zeus's lightning bolts himself. In any case, Atlanta and Archie were the only witnesses to watch the Typhus become a literal light show, before plummeting to its death into the river below. And as an added bonus the cables then snapped in half since the Typhus's corpse had enough force with the added shock to finally pull free. All that was left of the encounter now was two live-wire cable ends and a trail of smoke leading to the Typhus's body strewn haphazardly in the river after a tremendous splash.

------------------------------------------------------------------

When the laser unexpectedly fizzled out and sunk from its own weight without the help of being powered up any longer, Cronus had only one culprit in mind.

"Too late Jay!"

"What have you done?!" Said teenager finally decided to take out his gravitational blade as he bit out his response to the mad God.

"Put that away. I'm the least of your worries now." Cronus elegantly gestured to the mesmerizing ring of comet dust in the sky.

"What is that?" Theresa decided to jump in, the teens all coming back to group together as they witnessed the results of Cronus's plan.

"Ah, it's beautiful isn't it?" Was all Cronus said before he and his lackeys decided to take their exit. Minus one Typhus that is. Leaving the teens to ponder on the comet significance as it stayed in their sky doing absolutely nothing besides exist at the moment.

"This can't be good." Herry noted, creating a solemn silence. A welcome distraction interrupted them, however, when Odie's fluffy head of hair finally crested over the cliff edge along with a breathy greeting.

"Odie!" They all shouted happily as they raced towards their wayward teammate and engulfed him in a group hug.

"Take it easy guys!" Odie chuckled, but otherwise enjoyed the warmth and affection especially after having spent so much time in his dampened clothes for the last hour of climbing. But when he saw for himself the fantastical anomaly in the sky there was nothing he could say short of, "Wow."

------------------------------------------------------------------

After some moments of examining the comet remnants creating the ever-flowing, shimmering rainbow in the sky, and after Archie and Atlanta had appeared with their own greetings for their resident genius, the teens had finally returned back to the city and were now seen lounging on their own rooftop.

It was a pretty bare rooftop, save for a rickety set of outdoor furniture consisting only of a table with a slanted umbrella along with four matching chairs. Paired with Jay's own star scope his parents had shipped to him as they were still under the guise of his training as an astronaut and not as a prophetic God-slayer.

"Woah! What else do these things do?!" Atlanta gushed over her PMR as she sat with Odie and Archie at the table, repetitively testing out the PMR's stun gun capacities.

"What do you want 'em to do?" Odie asked back, a cocky smile playing on his face as he leaned back in his chair.

Nearby Herry was leaning against the roof's walled edge as Mel sat on it to get a better angle at bandaging Herry's arm. While Herry had been an absolute beast against the Giants, that hadn't stopped him from getting clawed on his bicep from a wayward swiping by said Giants as they sailed over his head. And while Herry wasn't particularly happy about making a big deal about a scratch, one look at Mel's pleading face had made him cave. Something about how she could at least do this if she couldn't fight like the others could. Plus, a little TLC from a girl he may or may not think was adorable didn't hurt his ego too much either. And more than that, its not like the others were not about to get the same treatment soon after she was done with his scuff. Odie's scratched up hands from climbing the cliff were about to get doused in alcohol soon enough.

"Jay, we destroyed the Typhus. The power is coming back on in the city. There's lots of reasons to be happy." Theresa, who had pulled Jay away from the others next to the telescope, tried to lighten up her teammate's spirit. And well, if it just so happened that she also got some alone time with Jay while doing so why would she be complaining?

"No." Jay sighed, "It's not over yet, Theresa. We don't know what this is all about. And we have no way of knowing. Remember, there's one more member of our team missing. We can only hope that he's got the answer."
