ATEEZ l The story of a frienship #2

Seonghwa, Yeosang, Wooyoung, Yunho, Jongho, Felix, Changbin, Chan, Seungmin, Minho and Jeongin had been waiting before the pathway ever since the teachers had left, waiting for them to come back with their friends. They had left a bit less than an hour ago and should be here soon.

"Come on, come on, come on" Wooyoung kept on repeating.

Footsteps were heard as all the students looked up, hoping to see their friends arrive. The steps got louder and louder until six figures appeared before them. 

As soon as they were close enough, Wooyoung ran, he ran towards San who barely had time to open his arms before having the ravenette thrown into them. He wrapped his arms safely around him as he smelled his hair and held him close.

"Wooyoung" He whispered.

"I was so worried. Don't ever do that to me again" 

"I'm sorry" The two pulled away as Wooyoung plunger his eyes into the other's before slowly closing the gap between them in a soft tender kiss.

Mingi smiled as he was showered by hugs and pats on the back. He looked to his right and saw Jisung holding his boyfriend close and Hyunjin looking towards him as well, the two nodded their heads in a knowing way before focusing back on their friends.

"We want to hear everything"

"Are you okay??"

"Guys, stop making out"

"Shut it, Yunho"

"Yeosang and Seonghwa held hands"

"Shut it, Yunho!"

"Oh come on!" Everyone laughed and made their way back to the tents.

"Wait, where's Hongjoong?" Mingi asked as he looked around. 

No one answered and Yeosang was quick to change the subject as San started telling them the story, being interrupted every ten seconds.

10:14 pm

Mingi walked behind the kitchen building and sat down next to a small figure. At first neither of them spoke, they looked at the sky and the stars, the view was breathtaking. Hongjoong turned to look at his friend who turned around as well. Mingi looked at Hongjoong, with his beautiful eyes, his mysteriously fascinating smile and smiling eyes, he was a wonder.

"Mingi-"

"Don't talk, let me do the talking this time"  The younger softly ran his fingers across the boy's cheek until it reached his chin. 

His fingers wrapped around the skin, pulling it closer and closer towards his face until their lips met. Hongjoong couldn't believe it at first, was Mingi kissing him? Was he really kissing him? It felt real, it felt amazing, he closed his eyes and savored the moment. 

The kiss went on for some more until they parted, the elder batted his eyes open, revealing a smiling Mingi, the most beautiful Mingi really.

"I'm sorry you had to take the last step" Hongjoong whispered as he rested his forehead on the other's.

"How so?" Mingi closed his eyes and traced the other's face once again.

"Ever since we've met each other you've taken every step"

"That's okay, I want you to know I'm dedicated to making this work any way possible"

"Well then, let me take this next step" Hongjoong removed himself and gently grabbed the other's head between his hands.

"Song Mingi, would you like to be my boyfriend?" The redhaired male smiled a big gummy smile which made Hongjoong smile as well.

"Is that a yes?"

"That's a yes" Mingi captured the elder's lips between his own as his arms snaked around his waist pulling him closer. 

Hongjoong linked his arms behind the other's head deepening the kiss as he played with his hair. The kiss ended and both boys looked at each other before looking up at the stars. 

They stayed like this, Hongjoong buried in Mingi's arms looking at the night sky for the next hour, that was it, that was their happy place. They had finally found it, and neither was ready to let go.
