Chapter 5- SHE misses THEM

Jasmine and Johndave are walking all the way back home when Jasmine's phone rang.

Jasmine: Hello Dad!

Mr. Montez: Hello Baby...How are you?

Jasmine: I'm not good in here Dad. I feel like after minute, I will just go crazy in here...

Mr. Montez: You have to stay in there...It's for your own good. While I and your Mom are finding a job in here, you have to stay there...

Jasmine: Dad...I miss you and Mom...

She kinda has that teary eyes and Johndave felt sad for her.

Mr. Montez: We will see each other soon=) that's for sure=)

Jasmine: And when that happened, can you buy me some lotions and conditioners cause I've got some bruises because of walking on the rice fields every day.

Mr. Montez: Oh sure I will=)

And that ends their conversation.

On the nest day on their school, well specifically on their classroom, while teacher is having a class in front, Jasmine is not listening to their teacher. She keeps on remembering her moment with her Mom and Dad and she kinda have that sad face.

Mrs. Franklin: So Ms. Montez can you name one of the SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD?

Jasmine didn't hear that.

Mrs. Franklin: Ms. Montez???

And she heard her that time so she stood up and answered her teacher's question.

Jasmine: The Great Wall of China is a series of stone and earthen fortifications in northern China, built originally to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire against intrusions by various nomadic groups.

Mrs. Franklin: Hmm...Okay...Other more?

Everyone then raised their hands. 

ON that night while they were having a dinner:

Grandma: Jasmine...Don't you have any plans for tomorrow?

Jasmine: None...Why?

Grandma: Well I think it's better if you join us in the rice fields tomorrow.

Jasmine: What will we guyz do?

Her Grandma just smiled.

On the next day, When they were about to leave, just like what Jasmine used to wear, she still wear that sleeveless with a jacket but she's not wearing a skirt this time, cause she's now wearing a short and a heels. When her Grandma saw her:

Jasmine: Im ready=)

Grandma: Are you sure that you'll wear that one? Take note were going to a rice field.

Jasmine: I know that=)

Grandma: Okay then...Let's go...

Then they went to the rice fields. When they got there, Jasmine found the land so wet that her heels get stick to it every time she steps.

When they got on the small house or something

Grandma: Okay lets help together=)

Janna: Okay lets go=)

Grandma, Janna and Mary Ann then left and they started to plant rice. Jasmine just looked at them. Johndave is wearing some boots when he saw Jasmine standing.

Johndave: Why are you standing in there?

Jasmine: Why?

Johndave: Don't you have a plan to help us?

Jasmine: Huh? What?

Johndave got a pair of boots and he threw it to Jasmine. Jasmine catches it.

Johndave: You have to wear that.

Jasmine: No!!! I will never wear that!

Johndave: But you have to.

Jasmine: No!!! Never!!!

Johndave: Okay then...Do it your way...Just make sure that you'll finish planting that one pail of seedlings?

Jasmine: huh? You must be kidding?

Johndave: Do I look like I'm kidding? So you better hurry up.

Johndave then left. When Jasmine is about to step on the rice fields:

Jasmine: Oh my gosh...Bro...Why me?

She then steps to the rice fields and she started planting seedlings. But because she's wearing heels, she could barely walk because her heels stick to the ground every time.

Grandma, Mary Ann, Janna and Johndave finished planting the one pail of seedlings while Jasmine had only planted ten seedlings, the four of them just looked at Jasmine. After a while, Johndave got the boots and he brought it to Jasmine.

Johndave: Whether you like it or not...you have to wear these...

Then he hand it over to Jasmine. Jasmine wore it and she started planting. Johndave helped her.

After they washed, while they were on their way home.

JASmine: Thank you...

Johndave: Thank you for what?

Jasmine: For helping me earlier...

Johndave: It's okay...

Jasmine: But the thing is...

Johndave: What?

JASmine: Look at my feet...Isn't it dirty? I just cleaned it yesterday...Oh my gosh...And you know what? Honestly...it's my first time to plant ...

Johndave was kind of irritated of her so he walked ahead of her.

Jasmine: Wait...

Johndave just acted like he doesn't hear Jasmine.
