Kageyama POV
Never see Hinata again?! What is he talking about?
"What.....do you mean?" I say getting worried.
" Y'see....those papers were pictures of my brain. It showed that I have a-"
I was frozen, listening intently.
Don't say it. Please don't say it. I thought as I tilted my head down.
"-brain tumor." He finished.
I raised my head and saw Hinata crying. Without saying anything I raced towards him and hugged him. I could feel Hinata tense slightly before relaxing and crying hard on my chest.
"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!" He whimpered.
What am I supposed to do? I've never had to deal with something like this before!
"It's not your fault." I said softly. "So is there a way....to fix it?" I asked.
"Y-yes. I have to get a surgery...but-"he hesitated.
"But?"
"I'll loose my memories.."
Silence.
Now I see.
"You're going to have to tell the team eventually."I finally said.
"I know..." Hinata clutched the back of my shirt. "But I'm scared."
"Of what?"
"What if.....what if they won't want to be friends with me anymore? Or if they start to hate me? Or if they get mad? Or-"
"They would never do that." I said, cutting him off.
He looked up at me.
"Suga and Daichi supported you when you told them right? The rest of the team, everyone is you're friend there. They'd support you no matter what you were going through."
Hinata was quiet for a second.
"....Even Tsukishima?"
I stopped. I actually didn't know.
Even though he teases people all the time he knows when to quit.
"Yes. Even Tsukishima." I said. Hinata smiled at me brightly. "Okay I'll tell them." I would've smiled but he probably would've thought I wanted to kill him. "So you'll get the surgery then?"I could tell he was thinking.
"Yes. I'll do it."
He looked scared. "It'll be okay. Well still be here after the surgery. Now c'mon. We're gonna tell the team okay?"
"M'kay"
We walked back towards the gym.
