Chapter 14: Nine Months Together

//Sam's POV//

"Dean I need you to drive me to some places."

"Is this for your's and Gabe's anniversary?"

"Yes, so..."

"Oh, yeah I suppose let's go." I watched impatiently rather as Dean puts his shoes on. "So do you want me to tell you what Balthazar told me?"

"No." I say bitterly, he nods. We get in the impala, "the candy store first." Dean nods and we drive in silence, well the exception of AC/DC playing.

"Hey Sam, are you good?" Dean asks as he parks in front of the candy store.

"Yeah, I have a slight headache that's all."

"Okay, can I stay in here or did you need me in there?"

"No, you're good." I say and he nods.

I go to the store and pick out all of Gabe's favorites. I then walk out of the store and Dean is listening to Eye of the Tiger, at least he's not being weird with the song this time. I put the bags in the back of the impala. Then I got in, "now where to?"

"The store, just the store." I kind of sighed.

"Is there more than just the headache?"

"Yeah, I didn't tell him about the soccer camp."

"That's a month long isn't it?"

"Yeah..."

"When does it start?"

"Two weeks."

"Oh, well I mean you could always tell him now."

"He's gonna be mad because I've known since March."

"You could leave that part out." I give him an incredulous look. "Okay, Gabe will be a little upset but he'll get over it and understand." I chuckle, "what?"

"Oh, it's just I remembered when we were alone because his family went to Maine and y'know grandpa. Well, anyways, he asked if HE was clingy and I'm like honestly, I don't know who the clingy one is. Well I guess we'll see during this soccer camp."

"Is it optional?" Dean asks and I shake my head.

"Not when you're going to be team captain." I nonchalantly say.

"Wait you're the new team captain?" Dean asks excitedly.

"Yup, I was named team captain in March during the meeting where I learned that I had to do this soccer camp."

"Does Gabe know that?"

"No, I can't tell anyone in school because team captains get officially announced in August, however, Henricksen told us the team because he was already set and Samandriel was also set on making sure I got the position."

"Dad is going to be impressed."

"Yeah, you can't tell him though."

"I won't." We were finally at the store. Dean decides to come in with me. I grab a basket because I don't need a lot of things. I grab a gold basket, then I grab a pack of photo paper, I also grabbed a medium sized journal.

I was trying to find Dean, I finally found him. "Sammy look, the Iron Giant."

"Don't."

"I won't but look." it's a tall Iron Giant toy, and it makes noises. "Okay, ready?" I nodded and we went to check out.

Now we're home. I call Gabe, "Yes My Love?" he answers and I look up and now he's at the window.

"Is that paint on your face?" I ask, he smears more paint on his face and I laugh. "I'll take it as a yes. I have something important to tell you."
