//Sam's POV//

We walked into Roadhouse, Gabriel and I sat down at a booth in the corner. Dean was sitting at the counter. I smiled at Gabriel, he furrowed his eyebrows. "Sam, it's okay," Gabriel reaches for my hand. He grabs my hand giving it a squeeze, Jo walks over (Jo was my best friend but then she started to date Charlie who's a grade above us). Gabriel hastily pulls away from me, I frown slightly, then Jo shoots me an incredulous look.

"Hello, Sam and... Gabriel, right?" Gabriel nods at the question, smiling at her. "What would you two like to drink?"

"Iced tea with a lemon slice, please," I say. Jo nods then looks over to Gabriel.

"Dr. Pepper, please." Jo nods leaving us with menus. She has our drinks then leaves again. "So Sam who is she other than Jo, I know her name she's in our science but anyways you know what I mean. Right you know," Gabriel starts rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment, I smile. "I don't always crack jokes when I'm nervous I ramble as well..." he trails.

"Calm down Gabe, I get what you're saying. We used to be good friends throughout grade school up until seventh grade. She found a different group of friends which includes her girlfriend, Charlie, she's a grade ahead of us."

"So what was the reason that she just automatically ditched you?"

"She didn't ditch me, we're not as close as we used to be, I mean our families still have thanksgiving together occasionally barbecues as well as some of our other family friend's mutuals. She didn't really like Kevin, she thought he was snobby and uptight, which she's not wrong." I shrug, I stir my lemon and tea around absentmindedly.

"So Sam, how long do you think Dean is going to be here?"

"The entire time." I roll my eyes. Making Gabe laugh.

"So Sam," I cut him off, he gave me a confused look.

"Are you going to start every sentence with 'so Sam' or?" Gabriel cracks a smile, shaking his head.

"No, anyways can I call you Sammy?"

"I'd prefer not but if it happens it happens,"

"So you're saying that I should find a different nickname for you?" I shrug, slightly smiling.

"Alright, alright," Gabriel says with a mischievous look. I squinted my eyes at him in an almost challenging way. "You're cute," my face is warm. He's beaming.

"So are you." Jo came back after I said that.

"Sorry for the wait. What can I get for you two?"

"I would like a chicken strip basket, please." I tell Jo she nods writing it down.

"I'd like a plain ole cheeseburger with fries, please."

"Okay will that be all?"

"For now," I say she nods and takes the menus.

"Let's cut to the chase," Gabriel starts. I give him a confused look with an amused smile, "what are your favorites?"

"Oh, we don't know that about each other huh?" He shakes his head. "Well my favorite color is gold, my favorite book is Firestarter by Stephen King, um, my favorite tv show is Doctor Who. Anything else?"

"What's your favorite animal?"

"This is going to sound weird but I love moose."

"It is weird but I like it. What's your favorite movie?"

"Ooh, uh, that's a hard one...Marvel movies I can't pick, anything but The Incredible Hulk."

"They should remake The Incredible Hulk but with Mark Ruffalo and make it less boring."
