(Russrovers' monthsary one shot writing entry)
There's a saying that when the clock strikes midnight every February 29 you'll have a 10 seconds communication with your soulmate but the problem is you will never see his/her face but you'll just hear the voice and first communication you will have with that person.
11:59 pm
I gently close my eyes and wait for my phone's alarm.
I'm excited and quite nervous. This is my first time hearing my soulmate's voice.
12:00am
It's dark.
I'm waiting to hear anything.
Seconds pass yet I hear nothing.
Dumbfounded and confused, I open my Facebook account and my feed is bombarded with the posts of their conversation they had with their soulmate. Some already found theirs and some are still hopeless romantic to find their soulmate.
'Hey, @Avy! Where are you? We already heard our soulmate's voice. How abt u?'
I backread on our GC and they are so happy with their soulmate's voice. They are asking about mine so I told them I didn't hear anything.
'Maybe you're just distracted, Avy'
'You can try again next time.'
'Hey, girl. Don't be sad. I guess this isn't the right time. I read the same as yours that they also heard nothing but now they are happily in a relationship'
I received lots of cheer-up messages from them and somehow makes me feel at ease.
I'll try again next time, maybe there's just a glitch or I'm just too distracted that I failed to hear his voice.

4 years pass by and here I am hoping this time I will finally hear his voice.
11:59 am
I close my eyes, praying that this is the right time I'll hear his voice.
12:00am
It's dark again.
10...9...8
'Please talk' I wish on my subconscious mind.
4...3...2...1....
I sighed.
I hear nothing. Again. I waited for 4 years just to hear nothing.
I toss my pillow in annoyance while my tears are helplessly pouring down.
" Arghh!! I just want to hear his voice! Why can't I hear anything!"
I'll try again next leap year. My mom told me I'm persistent in life. Maybe, just maybe. I'll hear your voice at the right time.

It's Saturday and my cousin invited me to an Art Gallery where talented painters from different schools will showcase their talent in painting.
"Avy! Look over there! Isn't he cute?" I curiously look at the person she's pointing at.
Yeah, he's kinda cute with his glasses and messy hair. He looks so innocent and soft.
I stare at him for a while until I heard the microphone's screech as a sign that the program will soon start.
"Good day, ladies and gentlemen! We're here to watch and witness the talents of Skylar International Special Art School. Let's give them a warm round of applause before they start showcasing their world-class talents."
