Your POV:
You woke up to a ray of sun shining through a crack in between your curtains. Your room was dark, besides that one ray. You slowly sat up and remembered all of what had happened last night.
You looked over next to you and realized nobody was there.
"What the hell?"
Had you dreamed the entire thing?
You got up and walked around. There was no evidence that Peter had ever been there.
You walked over to the window and pulled back the curtains.
There, in the garden, you saw a big group of people talking. Then you noticed Peter standing there with his arm around Storm.
You stepped back as you felt a weight in your chest.
The room began filling up with dark blue mist.
You hated what you saw, but you couldn't look away.
Peter looked back at you , smiled, and waved. Same as yesterday.
You just looked at him, sadly, knowing that you had imagined all of that.
Suddenly, Peter walked forwards a bit, so that he was out of Storm's line of sight.
He started jumping up and down and waving, most likely because you hadn't waved back.
You gave a slight wave, when all of a sudden he made a heart with his hands.
You were shocked and a smile went over your face.
The navy mist slowly turned to pink.
Then he started pointing at his watch.
You walked over to your alarm clock and realized it was almost noon.
"Have I been asleep that long?!"
You raced around your room and changed into your favorite outfit.
You heard a knock on your door.
Peter.
"Come in!"
You yelled, not fully dressed.
Suddenly Scott walked in.
"Y/N OH MY GOD."
He said, quickly putting his hands over his eyes and turning around.
You quickly got dressed.
"Scott, I am so sorry!"
You ran over to him and ran your hands through your hair.
"It's fine, I'm sorry I walked in on you."
"I wasn't expecting for it to be you."
"Let me guess, you were expecting Peter."
You stopped and looked up at him.
"What did you just say?"
"Peter Maximoff? You were expecting him."
You shut the door and walked towards Scott.
"How did you know that?"
You said, accusingly.
"I saw you guys last night. I was up late watching movies, when I saw you guys go into your room."
"Oh my god..."
You walked around the room as a purple fog started spreading.
"Woah."
Scott said, looking down at all the mist.
"Scott, nothing happened."
"I know."
"You can't tell anyone. Especially not Storm. He wasn't cheating on her, I promise."
"They're not really together, anyways."
"Wait, you know?"
"Well there were some signs."
"Like what?"
You were curious as to how Scott could have known when nobody else did.
"Well, first of all, Peter has never... you know."
You stared at Scott, waiting for him to elaborate when you realized what he was talking about.
"He and Storm haven't... slept together?"
"Nah, he told me that during a game of truth or dare."
"Oh."
It was strange, but hearing that almost made you relieved.
"Also, the way he talks about her. It's just not the same as how I feel about Jean."
"You love her."
"Yeah."
He nodded, confirming your statement.
"But what really proved it was when you arrived."
"Me?"
You asked, confused.
"But I didn't do anything."
"No, but you changed him."
"Changed him?"
"Yeah, the way he looks at you, how much he talks about you, and how much time he spends with you."
You smiled down at the ground as the mist turned to pink.
You looked back up at Scott.
"How do I know you're not just making this up?"
"I'm his roommate."
"That proves nothing."
"Follow me."
Scott started walking out the door as you followed.
You both walked down a spiral staircase to a long hallway with more dorms. Scott got out a key and walked over to a door that said "Peter and Scott's Lair"
Peter's name was written in messy handwriting, as if he had rushed through writing out his name, while Scott's was neat and smooth.
He opened the door to a room split into two distinct halves.
One half had a neatly made bed covered by a blue blanket, all in front of a row of organized shelves. The other half had a messy bed with a silver blanket on the ground. Clothing was scattered around the room and a bunch of random stuff had been thrown onto a chair at the edge of the room.
"His side of the room looks just like my room."
"You guys really are made for each other."
He sighed.
You laughed as you realized that he probably hated picking up after Peter.
Scott walked over to Peter's side of the room and motioned for you to come over to where he was standing.
Sitting there was a desk with a mirror on it.
The mirror was lined with photos of you two from the picnic last night.
"This morning he ran in here and put these up."
You felt a huge smile spread across your face.
"He's never put any pictures up of Storm, and he has only known you for a day."
You smiled when suddenly Scott stumbled backwards onto his bed.
"WOAH."
You turned around to look at him.
"You okay?"
"YOU HAVE WINGS!"
You turned around to look in the mirror. There was a pair of light blue wings. You looked up at one of the photos to see that the blue wings matched your pink ones that appeared last night.
"Scott, I figured it out."
You took the picture down and showed him.
"My powers."
"What about them?"
"They're based on emotion. Pink is love, light blue is happiness, and purple is fear."
"Your emotions?"
"I think my emotions, but also the emotions of others. Last night, when I placed my hand on Peter's chest, I could feel excitement."
"That makes sense, he's crazy about you."
You placed the picture back onto the desk.
"I have to go. Thank you for showing me this!"
You ran out of the room and stood up on the railing in the hallway. You looked down. It was a four story drop to the first floor.
You took a deep breath and jumped.
After a second you stopped falling.
You opened your eyes and realized that you were able to use your wings.
"YES! I can fly!"
You flew down to the first floor and your wings slowly disappeared as you landed.
You walked out the door towards the garden.
