Chapter V: The Trip

Peter's POV:
It was a week since the trip was announced.
I was extremely excited to go to y/n's universe.
Tony Stark's inventions were really impressive. A device powerful enough to transport an entire group of people must have taken a long time to build.
I picked up my bags, and I was about to run out of the room when Scott said my name.
"Peter."
I turned around to face him.
"Scott."
I said in a mocking tone.
"Peter, I know that you're excited for this trip. I know you want to hangout with y/n."
I set down my bag.
"Well duh, she's only my best friend."
I smirked.
"Listen, I know you care about her a lot. She's a great person, but you also have to remember Storm."
"What about her?"
"She's going to need attention too."
"What? Why?"
Scott rubbed his forehead as if I was missing some important detail.
"Dude, Storm obviously likes you."
"Nah, we're just friends. I don't think she's over her ex."
"Her ex?"
"Yeah. The guy that dumped her recently?"
Scott crossed his arms in a condescending manner.
"Dude, she's never had a boyfriend before."
The words rang in my head for a moment.
"What?"
"She's never dated anyone before."
"She lied to me!?"
I started to march out of the room when Scott grabbed my shoulder.
"Wait, I don't think you should confront her."
"Why not?!"
"If you confront her, and you guys break up, there will be a ton of drama, and it will ruin the trip."
I looked down and thought for a moment before looking back up at him.
"Fine, but my focus for this trip is y/n. I'm going to spend time with her."
"Alright. Just no confrontations."
I picked up my bag and zoomed out of the room.
I stopped outside to see a large group of kids on the front lawn.
"Peter!"
I turned around, expecting to see y/n.
But it turned out to be Storm.
She reached out her arms to give me a hug.
I swallowed my pride and pulled her into an embrace.
Once she let go, she noticed that I was looking around.
"What are you looking for?"
"Y/n. Do you have any idea where she is?"
"Oh... I think she's over there somewhere talking to Jean and Raven."
"Alright, thanks."
I walked away from her to look for the girls.
I could tell that I was being rude, but she had lied to me.
I felt used.
"Peter?"
I felt someone tapped on my shoulder.
I turned around to see y/n standing there. I looked down into her beautiful eyes.
"Hi."
"Are you okay? You look a bit shaken."
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine."
She gave me a suspicious look.
"I don't believe you."
She pulled me into her arms and I accepted the hug.
I felt a wave of calm wash over me as I rested my chin on her head.
"I'll tell you once we get there."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
You let go of the hug as Charles came out onto the lawn.
"Alright everyone. We are going to be going to Disney World. Only y/n has ever been, so she has prepared a plan for everyone."
I watched as y/n walked over and stood next to Charles.
"Okay, everyone. So, basically Disney World is an amusement park with multiple different sections. There are a few rules for Disney."
She pulled out a sheet of paper and started reading.
"Number one, always stay with at least one other person. Disney is extremely safe, but it's better to have a buddy."
Storm ran over to me and grabbed my hand.
"Peter, will you be my buddy?"
I hesitated for a moment before shaking my head.
"Storm, I'm sorry, y/n already asked me."
"Oh. Okay, cool."
She blushed as she dropped my hand.
"Number two, stay within the borders of Disney. Looking like an X-Men outside of the theme park won't be acceptable. We don't want anyone risking their lives."
I looked over and saw Kurt look down at his hands.
I walked over and put my arm around his shoulders.
"You'll be fine. Y/n said that the worst thing that could happen is that kids ask to take photos with you."
Kurt laughed as y/n went through the rest of the rules.
"Alright everyone."
Hank said as y/n walked back over to me.
He grabbed out a device and pushed a button.
Everyone watched as a huge portal opened.
"We are going to the hotel first. It is about 1:00 in Florida at the moment, so we will go to the hotel, everyone will change into cooler clothing, and you're all free to explore."
Everyone walked through and got to the hotel.
Charles went into the lobby and got everyone's keys.
I grabbed my key and Scott and I went to the room.
It was a big room with two beds. Each bed had a blanket with a cartoon mouse on it.
"Alright, I'm off, Peter."
"Bye Scott!"
I watched as Scott left, most likely to go find Jean.
I changed into a t-shirt and shorts, when I heard a knock on the door.
"It's probably Storm."
I said under my breath as I walked over and opened the door.
