The darkness was scary and now the man who just saved Wuxie had also disappeared. Wuxie was afraid to move. He stood still looking at the flashlight below.
"Something is not right. How come I didn't hear any sound if the flashlight was dropped!?"
Wuxie was hesitant to pick up the flashlight first but he didn't want to stay there more too. He slowly bent to the front for the flashlight. As he was about to pick up the flashlight, it was grabbed by another hand.
"AAAAHHHHHHH"
Wuxie started to run screaming loud but tripped, he fell backward on the road.
"It's me."
That rough voice was the same he heard down at the slope. Wuxie stopped screaming but he didn't give a break for his throat.
"YOU SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. WHERE DID YOU GO SUDDENLY LIKE THAT?"
That man didn't say anything but he put a bag in front of him. And he had a backpack on his shoulders too. Both these were familiar to Wuxie.
"My bags... I thought that the crazy man took it all."
Wuxie took the backpack from him and put it in the trolley bag.
"Thank you. But... When you go just tell me in advance. I'm not that brave." Wuxie said hiding his embarrassment.
"Go."
The man only said a word and began walking along the road. Wuxie didn't get what he meant. But since he didn't know what to do, wuxie closely walked behind him.
After some minutes walk, that empty road led them to a more broad and lively street. Even though the shops there were all closed, the road was lit by streetlights. Finally, Wuxie could take a good look at his savior.
Tall. About 6 feet and some more, he was taller than Wuxie. Wearing a plain black hoodie and black slim-fit jeans, his muscular appearance was clearly visible. His head was fully covered by the hoodie cap. But it didn't deter Wuxie's urge to see that man's face. He slowly caught up with the man's pace, walking side by side wuxie peeked at the face hidden by the hoodie.
Handsome. He had his hair falling to the front covering half of his face. Still, the beauty transcends it, giving a mesmerizing feel for the one to look. Wuxie couldn't take his eyes off that fair face. He went into a trance, suddenly his legs stopped, and he stood frozen, leaving only his mouth alive.
Handsome. Very handsome.
Seeing this the tall and handsome man, halted. His face was blank only his eyebrows twitched.
"Are you okay?"
That husky voice, even if it's a short sentence, was enough to wake Wuxie up.
"Huh!? Me? I'm okay. You don't need to worry about me. It's not like this is my first time. It's nothing for me."
Wuxie said confidently. But then only he felt like that sentence sounds a little bit off. Without wasting time Wuxie clarified.
"I don't mean it like falling off a cliff is my hobby. It's just that I was in a similar accident like this when I was 10 or so."
Hearing how much Wuxie could talk, that man was convinced that he was certainly okay. He resumed walking and Wuxie dragging his bag followed him. It's just that he didn't shut his mouth.
"But... you know? At that time too I was rescued by someone just like you did. I think I'm really lucky to escape death twice. Haha.."
Wuxie watched if he gets any reaction from the man beside him. But there wasn't any movement on his face.
