(Y/N) nervously fiddled with the guitar in her hands as she waits for the teacher to start their lesson for this summer semester, her eyes darting everywhere as she scans her unfamiliar surroundings.
(Y/N) (L/N) is the daughter of one of the most famous composer/musician/vocalist in New York, which is (M/N) (L/N).
Shes a single mother that is always busy 24/7, so that meant that (Y/N) doesn't really see her mother so often.
(Y/N)'s life isn't all rainbows and unicorns like the others thought, it was the complete opposite.
Her mother has a very high, and respected status. She's seen as a deity, a perfection sent from god above.
A miracle that everyone's been wishing for, an angel.
That's what they all thought.
Behind that soft pure mask, she actually has a pretty dark personality.
While she raises her hand up to wave and greet her fans and shout out her thanks and appreciation, she raises her hand and give (Y/N) a hard smacking and lots of cussing when she gets a note wrong.
While she laughs and giggles when her team makes a mistake or a miss-note, she gives (Y/N) the whip and makes her stay up all night just to perfect a piece.
Not even once has she been a mother figure to (Y/N). The closest they've been to each other is when she's infront of the camera.
This is why (Y/N) was glad when her mother was out on tour and decided that she doesn't need to bring her daughter around. Our little protagonist was left alone with her grandparents, and she wouldn't have it either way.
Music is something that's been around (Y/N) all her life. Her mother may have given her a mental scar that traumatized her mind with the thought of music, she still finds the inner beauty of it.
And that's how she got here.
"Class, we have a new trooper with us today. Please introduce yourself, miss." The teacher then announced. There came a girl with brown curly hair and big blue doe eyes. She fiddled with the fabric of her shirt as she introduces herself nervously.
"H-hello.. my name's Emilia." She introduced.
—
"Why are you talking to me?" (Y/N) asked, not even bothering to look up at the new girl. Emilia flinched at (Y/N)'s tone of voice, but she held her ground.
"I just wanted to be friends."
"I don't need friends."
There was a small silence between them. (Y/N) thought that she finally gave up and left her alone, but surprisingly enough.. she didn't. (Y/N) then whips her head up in surprise as she heard Emilia's next words.
"Then you should start changing. Like. Right now. By taking my hand, and accepting my friendship."
—
"Em I really don't think I can do this.." (Y/N) started hyperventilating as she saw the performers get down the stage. The crowd was wildly cheering for them, making (Y/N)'s anxiety rise even more.
Emilia looked at her best friend with concern. She then took her hand and entwined it with hers, a small smile plastered on her face.
"It's okay (Y/N). I'm here for you. I always will."
—
"Em? Em?! I'm really sorry! I didn't mean it like that!!"
(Y/N) ran down the halls looking for her friend. Her eyes red and her face tear streaked. Her heart beating wildy against her chest, adrenaline pumping through her veins. The rain outside was rowdy and wild. The wind was really strong and it made (Y/N) even more scared.
She then thought of that one place where Emilia would surely be.
She opened the doors to their classroom, and what she saw made her heart drop. Then it started beating wildy again, but for a whole different reason.
"Somebody call an ambulance!!"
"(Y/N)? Are you alright?"
(Y/N) snapped out of her reverie as she hears Lukas familiar soft voice. He had a reassuring hand on her shoulder, silently telling her that he was there. He was there for her.
"I'm.. I'm fine." She said, her voice cracking as she said the last part.
"Are you sure? You're crying." Luka stated the obvious. (Y/N) was confused at first but then she blinked, causing those unshed tears to run down her reddened cheeks. She lets out a soft gasp and trails a finger softly on her now wet cheeks.
She lets out a sniffle and started to wipe her tears away, a small smile on her lips. Luka looks at her in utter confusion.
(Y/N) then stood up and reached her hand out to Luka who was asking himself questions he know he can't answer.
"People will start looking for us. Let's go back." She said. Luka looks at her alarmed, quite unsure about her decision. But he didn't question it, he took his hand in her and stood up.
Luka and (Y/N) got back up the stage, just in time for Clara was announcing their next competition.
"For the preliminaries, one of the bands vocalists will be paired up with the other teams vocalist. And with your newfound friendship you have to do a duet!" Clara cheered.
"We only have six bands left so you guys can choose which partners you want!" She then explains. Which had the six teams alarmed.
(Y/N) breathes out a sigh of relief as she hears Claras words. She doesn't need to be paired up with Jake, she can choose her own partner.
Her thoughts then trailed back to Luka, then a hint of blush started to tint her cheeks. The thought of them, harmonizing and creating melodies together sounded way to romantic. And (Y/N) would do anything but that.
But it's Luka.
He's a good friend. A nice person. A very interesting person.
Then their eyes met, Lukas teal orbs looking at (Y/N)'s with a burning passion.
It's almost as if their minds were linked as one, (Y/N) could clearly tell that he was thinking what she was thinking.
"Hey (Y/N).." Luka started.
