Chapter 3

Annie ran towards the wall…
With the scouts at her back. Mikasa attacked her various times injuring her.
Armin odm geared after her moving from roof to roof.

As she ran and he followed this scene looked quite familiar. 

"It has happened before right" he thought…

"Of course it has"…..

Two months had passed since Armin and Annie started to train together. With each passing day their bond only grew stronger.

Often they would go out stargazing. It was subject they both loved and connected on.

Annie felt different around him. She wasn't that stone cold heartless girl but just another human being around him. She even smiled something.

When she was with him the fact that she was a warrior became secondary. She was just Annie at that point.

As for Armin even he showed different behaviours around her. He tried to appear strong and not act stupid around her.

One night about two months from the day they first started to train they were returning form a session of stargazing.

Both were in a light mood and were chatting with each other when Armin said….

"You should smile more"...

She smiled

"Why do you pretend to be so cold in front of everyone??? You are a good person and you are so beautiful……" 

And with that Armin bacame a stuttering mess , he said "I don't mean that ...I mean.. I do mean that.. I mean ya you are beautiful.. like didn't say it like that… like…."

"Thanks" she said in a soft voice…

Both looked the other way.

Neither wanted the other to see their cheeks flushed red….

A million thought were going through both head….

Both their hearts were pounding hard against their chests…

A part of Armin mind was telling him
"Hold her hand now...now...now"

Another was telling him
"What if she gets angry don't do it"

But before either of them could react a voice thundered in the night air..

"ARLERT!!!!   LEONHART!!!!" 

Both immediately turned to the front to look at commandant Shadis looking down upon them.

Both immediately saluted the commandant and stood to attention.

The commandant said "What the hell are you two doing out at this hour.. I thought bedtime started one hour ago or am I misinformed??!!!"

Armin began "Sir it's absolutely my mistake I wanted to show Annie the mentor shower. She isn't at…" 

He was cut off by Annie who said "Sir Armin is lying. I forced him to show me the shower he is inno.."

Once again Armin cut her off and both began blaming themselves.

Shadis looked at them as they tried to put the blame on themselves to save the other.

"SILENCE!!!!!"

They both immediately shut up and looked at him.

"Give me 15 laps now and you two don't eat the privilege of a shower after that"...

"And from this day onward Leonhart you will train with Yeager and you Arlert with Kiersten"

As Shadis walked away they both looked at each other then went over to the field to run.

They ran fifteen laps that night often Annie would overtake him but she would always slow down for him. They didn't talk much during that time but both were disappointed that they had been removed as each others sparring partner.

As Armin followed her he said this to himself or maybe to her in a voice that only he could hear.

"Once again we are running except this time you aren't slowing down for me"

She ran and as she ran she felt anchors invading her titan body. Once again she had fallen for Hange Zoe's trap..
