Dairoku and Artemis sat on the roof of a building in Mantle, looking up at the storm of Grimm and the Giant Whale...

Dairoku: What?

Dairoku, who was now all healed up from his duel with Malak, looked at Artemis in confusion, hearing her say the name, Monstra...

Artemis: That's what Salem named this Grimm... Monstra serves as a mobile command center and a mobile birth place of Grimm... But, it must have taken a lot of magic to create a Grimm of this size...

Dairoku: That golden glow in its head... do you think that's from the Pool of Life from the God of Light's Sacred Domain?

Artemis: It's a possibility, though I'm not really sure.

Dairoku: *sigh* ...So Salem's inside that massive Grimm, which means Hazel, Mercury, Emerald, Tyrian, Cinder and maybe Malak are all there too... Speaking of Malak, what do you think he's doing right now?

Artemis: *stroking her chin* Hmm... I can't say for sure... But, I think he's currently regenerating from the wounds you gave him. So he might not be on the field for a while. Malak's regeneration takes time, unlike Salem who can regenerate almost instantly depending on the damage dealt to her...

They just continued to stare at Monstra and its flock of Grimm in silence, before Dairoku asked a question...

Dairoku: Hey... Artemis... Something's been bugging me since we left Argus...

Artemis: What is it Partner?

Dairoku: Well... Athena... Is she really gone?

There was a short silence before Artemis chuckled.

Artemis: I was wondering when you were going to ask that. Fortunately, my elder sister isn't... particularly dead. She's... more like in a state of reincarnation. Us Spirits can't really die, so long as our Beast counterparts live on. So, since Barbatos is still here, Athena will come back. She's just taking this time to regenerate some of her magic so she wouldn't disappear again. There's no telling when she'll be back. It could be in the matter of a few days or hell, even years, way past your lifespan.
