Obsession - Part One
THE PRETTY SPARKLY diamond Tiffany necklace my mother, Diana, had given me on my last birthday loooked nice with the dark forest green turtle neck sweater paired with dark pants tht stuck to my fit legs.
Diana had always made sure that me and Melanie were healthy, eating a mixture of healthy and not healthy food, constantly going out to run or working out at the somewhat mini gym in the house. It's something that I liked about Diana, me and her had never had a good relationship.
But her likes and dislikes stuck on me, aswell as habits like constantly having the kitchen clean or contantly washing the bathroom. Diana liked the house to be clean, and on ocassions she'd help Anna Chloe -- the housekeeper -- and the rest of the maids to clean, it's something that ran through the woman of my family.
My hair was uncharatistically in pretty natural curls -- probably due to the weather -- which made my hair look shorter, and I wore a light coat of make-up, my dull green eyes more noticable.
"Miss Diane?"
I turned around to find Anna Chloe's head peeking in. I smiled at her. "What do you need, Anna?" I asked, she swallowed. "Mrs. Green would like to talk to you in the office." She said nervously, Anna Chloe was young, pretty and an open book.
Diana scared her alot because of her strong attitude and hard glares. I nodded, "Okay, I'll be there soon." I said, Anna Chloe smiled and left my room.
Had I taken Skye's advice to stay in the dorm? No, for me it was normal to have those attacks, Diana had asthma and I probably inherited it from her. That was also common in Diana's family. I usually had an inhaler on me, but I had changed bags and it probably stayed in the other.
Diana and my father, Gareth, were going to have lunch with the Ambrose family, seeing as father was going to talk with Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose about a deal between their busnisesses, and it crossed my mind that it could be London's family, Skye had mentioned something about him being the heir to his family's company.
So, me and Diana would probably just be there and look pretty -- I mean, I would have to pay attention because I was going to take my Dad's place as owner and C.E.O.
Diana ran a pretty famous brand here in Paris and in London, we had just moved here to Paris in an attempt to heal from Mealnie's mysterious disapearance. It's been a year and they still haven't found her.
Taking my phone and the keys to a tall truck Melanie had named Derry, -- which we had bought on an impulse -- I walk out of my new not yet used room and attempt to find my way to the study/office.
After of few minutes of losing myself in the tall elegant mansion, I catch sight of Oliver, a bodyguard that had been with me and Melanie since we were little. I walk over to him -- more like power walk -- and smile.
"Oliver, could you tell me where the study is?" I ask politely.
Oliver smiles back and points to the huge elegant dark wooden doors at the end of the long hall, I thanked him and practically ran to the study. Pushing the large dark wodden doors open, I find myself with a big study, like the ones you see in movies.
The elegant Diana Monte-Rojas or Green, sat in the big office chair, a laptop sat on the desk before her, behind her was a wall, but the wall was a bookshelf, lined with thin and wide books, big and small.
