HONESTLY, I LOVE ART. No doubt about it. So, it would make sense for me to have chosen Art as one of my classes. Mr. Fletcher, the teacher for this class, stood infront of a whiteboard. Something was written on it, the project we would have. For the year or for a few months maybe.
"Class." Mr. Fletcher said, it took one word for everyone to stop talking and go to their seats. "Today we'll start the year project. Which is to - for some students - learn how to draw, and for others it might be to be better in it. It's also about understanding that art can have different meanings. . ." I drown out Mr. Fletcher's words, focusing on my sketch pad, I take my pencil starting to draw a familiar face.
Melanie.
After a few minutes, I have a face and neck, and shoulders. The details are almost done, her ear piercings, her perfect eyebrows, a small scar close to said eyebrow. The difference between us was many. Her piercings, short hair up to her chin, strands of said hair in a different color. It was a small drawing in the corner of my sketch pad.
Melanie was outgoing, brave, etc.
We were so different.
"So, the people next to you are the people you will be drawing. . . I'll give different scenes for you to draw. . . after class is when you'll get them. . ."
That was the only thing I heard.
And I was already done with Melanie's sketch. She wore one of her usual outfits, a leather jacket, a grey tanktop under and black denim jeans with combat boots. She usually had her hair tucked behind her, her ear piercings on showcase.
The page had been used before, It had drawings of Lilth laughing, Melanie and lilith singing. It was just Melanie and Lilth. They were friends.
"Who's she?"
I looked to my left to see Alexander, his curious hazel eyes locked with my own. "My sister." I murmured. I had forgotten that he sat next to me.
"You draw really well." He compliments with a smile. I gave him a small smile. "Thank you." I say, Mr. Fletcher says for us to start the project.
Right. I had to draw Alexander. I flipped to a empty page. I started a figure, It was like a headshot, broad shoulders visible.
I throw a glance at Alexander, who's occuiped in his sketch pad, starting a figure like me, except that his held what looked like a pencil. I observe his features for a moment. His perfect fair rose skin tone and the pretty hazel with a touch of a faint green as the color for his eyes.
Enough staring, Diane.
My gaze snapped back to the sketch pad, I started an outline for Alexander's messy hair. When he had sat next to me after the teacher assigned partners, he had told me to call him Alex instead. And I suposse I'd refer to him as Alex now.
-
It was done.
The drawing I mean, it was done.
Alex was in shades of grey, his eyes were looking attently at something. His head was cocked to the side, grey perfectly shaded hair falling over his eyes. At the bottom his broad shoulders peeking. He wore a button up shirt, and from what was seen the first few buttons were open.
