Clarke's POV:
Sitting with my friends was usually a mess but today even more so. First of all, Nylah was lying on the grass next to me while Octavia and Monty were fighting over his 'stupid vegetarian diet' as Octavia called it.
"But for real why can't you just enjoy a fucking chicken nugget without getting all emotional about it?" she said, rolling her eyes. Monty shuffled over towards Jasper and whispered something close to the lines of, 'I swear to god O would eat humans if she could'. To which Jasper burst out laughing. The conversation was dropped eventually and I managed to tune my dumbass friends out. I kept finding my thoughts drifting towards the new teacher. Surely she was not checking me out. I mean sure its not like I'm not attractive but I'm also not top tier fuck material. She was probably just thinking about what to do, I decided. She's a new teacher and she's most definitely stressed out. I pushed the thoughts away when the bell rang which signalled me to have to drag a still very stoned Nylah to her class.
"Come on baby, time for class." I cooed, hoping she was too high to realise.
I was wrong.
"mmm no." she replied, turning her face away from me to continue her nap. I sighed to myself.
"I'm going to leave you here, you know that right?"
"No you aren't you love me to- HEY!" I had already started walking away and apparently she only just noticed. I watched her slowly stumble to her feet before ambling towards me.
"Holy fuck you are so out of it." I laughed, grabbing her as she fell into me, "Woah, come on dumbass lets get you to class."
---
I dropped Nylah at R2 for her Biology class and began heading to my final class, maths. On the way there I decided I would take a pitt stop at the canteen and buy a pepsi. The lunch staff aren't supposed to sell food during classes but I know one of the guys. I walk through the nearly empty cafe and up to the line. As I peered over the counter I could make out the hunched figure who I know as Pike. He must have a sixth sense or something because just as I lay eyes on him he turns around. A smirk plasters itself on his face.
"Well if it isn't little Miss Griffin." He starts. Pike happens to be close friends with my mum and he still is intent on acting like I'm 7.
"Get me a pepsi and a brownie." I say, I've told him multiple times to call me Clarke but no thats not on his agenda apparently.
"Woah, your manners are atrocious!" He laughs, handing me the items. I roll my eyes, toss him a five and head towards my class.
---
The doorknob turned and I tried to silently sneak into class but the hinges in the door sounded like two squeaky bike wheels, meaning that when I took a step into the room, every single eye was on me. I tried to give as many people the death glare as possible before I found my way to my seat. The chatter started back up as soon as I sat down and I could relax. However I noticed that Miss. Woods seems anxious. I didn't know why but I could tell by the way her eyes kept flicking towards the window and how often she would fix her hair. I felt bad for her. Being a new teacher in such a shitty school would certainly make me anxious. I put my headphones in and relaxed for a few minutes, I expected this to just be another boring maths lesson, until I noticed the boy next to me, Bellamy, pulled out one of my headphones. I rolled my eyes and turned to him.
"What the fuck do you want?" It came out more aggressively than I intended and only after I said it did I notice the dead silence of the classroom. Fuck.
Miss. Woods let out an uncomfortable chuckle, "As I've been trying to say. There's no headphones in my class." She raised her eyebrow at me before glancing down to the rotting wooden floor and giving an amused smirk to herself. The bottom of my stomach churned and I felt a sudden urge to feel her eyes on me again. But the strange feeling in my stomach didn't last long because Bellamy leaned over.
"Real smooth, Griffin." He chuckled and I elbowed him in the ribs under the table. He made a grunting noise and buckled over earning a few snickers from some of the other students. I smirked, happy knowing that their eyes were off me now. Bellamy released a breath he had been holding, which showed me that he was winded.
"Bitch." He muttered. I rolled my eyes and got out my unused book and my unused pen. Miss Woods was writing down Trigonometric Ratios on the board. Not good. I had barely passed last years exams. I had no idea how I was supposed to pass the upcoming common assessment that Miss Woods had, conveniently, written up on the board. I took a note in the back of my book.
Organized
Looks at the ground when nervous, fixes hair.
I noticed Bellamy was leaning towards me and I quickly flicked back to my original page. What was my problem? Sure, Miss. Woods was attractive but I shouldn't be feeling this way about her. I wasn't feeling anything though... I don't think I was.
Lexa's POV:
I was trying my best to continue the lesson, but Clarke, seemed to really be struggling. I noticed that she was staring out the window, chewing on a pencil. I stopped teaching.
"Actually, you guys look bored of my voice. Turn to page 32 and try work through those activities for a bit." A few hands shot up.
"Yes you can talk and be on your phone if you want, but it's due in tomorrow." All the hands lowered.
As the volume in the class picked up I walked over to my blonde student's desk. She looked up at me and our eyes locked. I felt my stomach drop and my heart started to flutter. Clarke was definitley special.
"Can I help you miss? Or are you just going to stare." She said, slightly annoyed.
I felt embarrassed and gulped.
"Sorry, Clarke." Her name rolled off of my tongue and red began to seep into her cheeks. She was quite adorable, "I just wanted to check how you're going? Your mind seems elsewhere." I leaned my hands on either side of her desk and leaned forward slightly, trying to get a glimpse of the page she was working on.
"Oh! You're only a page or two behind, here if you come-" She was looking down my top, I didn't quite know what to do. I liked having her eyes on me but this felt a little too disrespectful.
Clarke noticed I caught her looking and she lowered her head to the page, acting as if nothing had happened. I thought I saw a hint of a smirk, but that could just be my mind playing tricks on me.
"Actually, maybe you should see me after class, I can help you catch up on the work, so that you can hand it in on time."
"I'd, uh, rather not." She replied, her face was nearly bright red.
"Sorry, Clarke. You're going to have to."
She looked up at me with her red face.
"Okay, Miss Woods."
She was definitely my favorite student.
Oh my gosh hi guys?!
