Chapter 15: Accepting Myself

Well, it's been a couple of weeks since I updated you here with everything. There has been a lot of changes that have been happening, so I suppose I should explain what has been happening.

First thing's first: Boscha. I might as well talk about her first because she's the most minor event to have happened (no offense to her). I do gotta say, she has been keeping her word about changing pretty strongly.

The day after I encountered her outside of the school, I finally talked to Amity about listening to her. I was scared to bring it up because I didn't want to trigger any unwanted feelings within her, especially since this is about Boscha we're talking about. Obviously I couldn't stop that. When I mentioned her, she did get considerably irritated. She wasn't mad at me personally, which was good, but she wasn't thrilled to hear about me telling her to listen to her at least. I explained what happened and eventually she sighed and agreed she would talk to her and see what's up.

I was there to see it all unfold. I was in the back, just watching them talk, making sure nothing went wrong. Even though I saw Boscha as a mess the other day, I still didn't have complete trust in her. My anxious side was telling me this was just some sort of cover up to get a jump on Amity, so I was there to at least be on guard, but thankfully none of that happened. She was basically the same way to Amity as she was to me, albeit the lack of hard sobs. She stated how sorry she was and she didn't expect Amity to forgive her immediately, but promised to do as much as she could to make it up to her. Amity just said to give her time and she'll feel more comfortable with it.

I suppose that's understandable, considering what happened with them.

Something I found out too was that she apparently made up with Willow too. I didn't know this, but they were apparently close friends in the past as well. Not surprisingly, Boscha treated Willow in a similar manner as Amity, but Willow wasn't as willing to stick close. She cut her off and opted to be with Gus and hang with him more. Willow never openly talked to me about this, but I overheard the talk they had in the hallway some time later. I didn't make out much, but it seemed like Willow wasn't too keen to be hearing from Boscha, but like Amity, she saw how much Boscha was hurting and told her to give her time, and she'll reconsider.

As for me, she's been more open to try to talk and have some conversations at the lockers and such. I can't sit here and say they weren't awkward, they very much were, but I didn't hear the same nasty tone that I associated with her. She was quiet, timid and reluctant at times. I do feel bad about how she's feeling. Nobody deserves to feel this way. I'm willing to help her as long as she keeps her promise, and so far she has been.

Well that's Boscha at the moment, what else?

Amity and I have been going strong still. I don't think I can say it's a secret anymore. It isn't widely known around school, but the group and my mom know.

We agreed to tell the gang about us since it's been like 3 weeks, so during lunch the other day, we sat down and told them about the relationship. Not surprisingly, Gus was all like "I called it. Didn't I say something was up with them?" while Viney and Jerbo were nodding. Willow didn't think about that I guess, and was very accepting when she heard the news. Afterwards they shot us questions like "how long has it been?" and "what do you like about each other?" which easily made both of us go quiet in embarrassment.

Amity also agreed that it was fine to tell my Mom about the relationship too, although to make sure to not let her openly talk about it if her parents meet at some point. She didn't explicitly say why, but it doesn't take a genius to know why she told me that.
