I wake to the smell of bacon and misty-leaf tea. I stand up and look down at myself, seeing my pajamas from two nights before. A feeling of dread and horror awakens me fully as I realize that Mason saw me dressed like that the day before, twice. I walk over to my closet and pull out a pair of- what Olive calls them, 'Pink' sweatpants, even though they're not pink- and a 'Pink' sweatshirt that actually is pink with a dog on the breast. I walk out to the kitchen and see a table full of bacon, pancakes, eggs, and mugs full of misty-leaf tea. I sit down next to a sleeping Olive and nudge her awake.
"Put your hands up or I'll shoot! Oh, it's just you Sylvia. I made breakfast, and I didn't fall asleep until after I was done and turned all the fire off. You should be proud."
"Good job Olive. Is the food ready to eat?"
"Yeah, but don't touch anything until our guest arrives. It would not be hospitable to host a guest with a half-eaten meal."
"Who is our guest?"
"I invited Mason to join us for breakfast considering he'll be spending the day with us."
"Why is he spending the whole day with us? We were going to investigate today."
"Don't you remember what your Mom said about that? He's the only one who knows what the relic is and who can touch it. We need him or we can't complete the mission. Can't you remember these things or did you not hear her because all you heard was Mason. Hon, anyone can see the way you look at him, but I don't know if you can. You're blinding yourself with lies to cover the painful truth. Sylvia, I know this, I've seen it all my life with you and your Mom. It's nothing new and you should know that." The doorbell rings, interrupting her speech. "That'll be him, I'll go get it then."
She stands up from the table and strides to the door with her usual grace, and opens it in a swift motion. Mason walks in dressed in dark jeans, a Blue T-shirt and a half-zipped jacket. He smiles when he sees me, "Good morning Karen, glad to see you're awake." he turns to the purple-haired girl next to him, "Olive, thanks for inviting me over for breakfast, I probably wouldn't have eaten had you not."
She smiles a lovely smile that is worthy of a trophy and leads him towards the table, "Now will the both of you please sit down and eat, we have some planning to do and it is going to take awhile." We both follow her instructions and I eagerly dig into the meal that she provided for us. I am about to exclaim my gratitude for her labors when she speaks again, "Now, I'm thinking we should probably get a move on as soon as breakfast is over and we can be ready. Sylvia, would you mind telling Mason about the message?"
"No I would not mind. Mason, yesterday we got a message from my mother telling us that you would know what to do to begin investigations. Is that correct?"
"Yes, she spoke to me before I met the two of you, saying that we would need to go to an abandoned warehouse near the outskirts of Queens. There you two will go inside and search the warehouse for a group of warlocks. They will undoubtedly be protecting the relic. You will not engage the group, but instead see what kind of warlocks we are up against and if you recognize any of them. Then you need to get back out of there where I will be waiting with the car. Sound easy enough?"
"Easy enough for me." I add quickly, "But I am definitely finishing my breakfast first if that's the plan."

When we arrive at the warehouse, Mason parks a couple blocks away and Olive and I run to it. Before we left the house, we took showers and dressed in our gear, fully equipped with all warlock weapons and devices, knives, daggers, fire canisters, even some revealing powders so we can check everything out and make sure no laws are being broken. We also took silence potions before leaving. Olive looks at me with a container in her hand just before we walk in, similar to the one in my own hand. I nod and we down the containers. They are invisibility potions that will give us about ten minutes of investigation.
Olive places her hand on the door handle and slowly pushes aside the door just enough so we can gracefully slip through. The squealing of the wheels that move the for are just enough disruption to keep us cautious. We step through with slow steps, carefully laying foam each one despite our silence potions. When we get halfway into the large room, we scan the room for a for that could lead to something. I spot a balcony straight across from us with no ladder or staircase leading to it. I tap Olive's shoulder and point towards it. She nods and we walk even more carefully towards it.
Olive starts climbing first, digging her shoes into the crumbling brick wall we have to climb. I follow behind her when she reaches the top, easily making the climb. There is a row of doors stretching out along the balcony, all looking the same. Olive looks at me then walks down the balcony to the other side.
I open the first door on the row, coming up with an empty room that holds no promise of relics or warlocks alike. I softly shut the door and move onto the next one. As I open it, I hear Olive call out, "Sylvia, come over here. I found something worth looking at." I hear it, but don't go to her voice our follow her call. Instead, I walk into the room and silently thank that our silence potions also mask our voices. I crawl to the floor to get a better look at the sight in front of me. There is a large group of twenty our so Tranium Warlocks. Their eyes and hair are the color of Tranium, a warlock jewel, or unnatural jewel created by The Force of the Female Warlocks. The group looks as if they are surrounding something.
Olive walks in behind me "Sylvia, why didn't you-" as soon as she sees what I'm looking at, she silences and sits next to me, looking at the group. We scan the faces, looking for famous our familiars, but the only well known with the Tranium Warlocks is Rufius Plagous, and he lives in Trove in the prison. He can't escape without being killed, it's impossible, and his sentence has the more years. I don't see any, but there are a few that look like they may have spent time in Trove prison, and look slightly familiar. I look at Olive who had fallen asleep, or so it looks. Or her fingers trapping out letters, meaning she is sending a message, most likely to my mother. She had that capability, brain messaging.
I wait for her to come back then look at her with wide eyes, asking. She speaks, "Your mother. She suspected as much, that they would be Tranium. Come on, we need to be out of here. Two minutes left of invisibility potion and five of our wonderful silent. We need to leave." I nodded my head and stupid up, walking out with Olive. We run out to the balcony and jump straight down, nearly breaking our legs, but instead of rolling and checking them, we continue or strides. We run to the door, allowing to squeeze through where Mason is waiting in the car. We climb inside and he looks at us as our invisibility wears off. I smile a huge grin and ask, "So, who wants to go eat?"
