Another story from three/four years ago. As I read this I find that there are a lot of similarities to Star Wars Rebels...but bear with me on this one I was not very good at writing at the time. Maybe I'll put something evaluating my old pieces and pointing out what not to do now that I'm older from when I last wrote it.

Kayden crept quietly out of his house, eyes searching back and forth across the hill and the house, a two story silver and orange colored, decked out modern condo. This was a modern era. Kayden and his family lived on a purple planet named Galio bedecked with cities and lights, it could be seen from many miles away in space. A majority of the population were mechanics, bartenders, pilots, space plant farmers, carpenters, or miners. Or treasurers, that collected information of every trade record, bills of every citizen, every personal record of every citizen, and what-not. But not Inventors or engineers. None of them.
Kayden's dad had been an engineer. His dad had been one of the last engineers on the planet, before apparently he had invented something that was really bad for everyone, so he had gotten banished from Galio. Kayden wanted to be just like his father, an engineer, despite that being illegal on the planet. He wasn't a mechanic and information-collector like his mom, despite her encouraging him to be one (although he was a very good mechanic). His mom could be stubborn and angry sometimes. Like mother, like son.
He crept along, crouching low. He looked around again. Did his mom have the security cameras on? Kayden hoped not. Kayden looped around to the garage and activated the switch to make the operator door open. Lying in it was his mom's speeder and his hoverboard.. Being a thirteen year old, he was perfectly qualified to use his floating hoverboard along the streets, as long as he didn't go directly on the streets, since he couldn't get his license until he was 14, when he came of age.
Hopping on his hoverboard and swinging his satchel over his shoulder, and closing the door, he zoomed out as quickly as the hoverboard could go, way over the speed limit his mom had conditioned for him for his "safety."
Kayden spoke to his wrist watch. "Take me to the junkyard," he yelled at it. A face appeared on it and said "Yes sir. Hold on," it replied. Kayden didn't need to hold on. His black galaxy shoes were magnetic, and stuck to the board. He zoomed along.
Finally, he arrived at the dark, fenced off area of the junkyard. He waved his gauntlet at the scanner, and it beeped in recognition. The Junkyard was one of the most important places in all of Galio, and was about three football fields big. Citizens came to collect stuff from here and repair the object, later selling it for a profit. Only registered citizens living in Galio could access this area, for sometimes there was really valuable stuff that other planets might use to their advantage in the Trade rush. If you were visiting the planet, you had to get a pass to enter, as well as only being allowed to get a limited amount.
In Kayden's story, he was here to collect stuff to tinker with, as well as collecting things for a droid he was building in secret. It was something that he invented! His mom would not approve.
The droid would be covered in silver plating, with blue glowing carbon lights swirling through him. He could talk and speak any language. He could cook, build stuff, and pilot a ship. Kayden also hoped to download some fighting moves into the droid! It was Kayden's dream project. Kayden had started the project a few months ago. He hadn't been able to work on it much since he was in school, but now that he had graduated school (kids graduate school at 12 years old, than went to college at 15. After going to college for two years, they get a job or travel space at 18.)

Cerita PendekI suppose this could be considered a Junk Drawer. This just contains random stories that I wrote a couple years ago, possible story ideas, me ranting about different fandoms I'm in, etc.
