I jumped out of my car and ran to the unconscious boy. I didn't care if Jordan or Derek saw me with him. This wasn't right. I thought he was shy and sweet.
I tried to wake him up. I patted his cheeks and put his head on my lap. It was raining harder. My hair was soaking and my sweater was most likely ruined.
Finally ten minutes later, his eyes fluttered open. He saw me above him and he rubbed his eyes. He tried to sit up. "What happened?" He said. I guess I never really noticed how deep his voice was.
It was sexy.
"My dumb boyfriend and his friends, that's what happened. I'm sorry Harry." He looked at my deep in the eyes. "Lucy, lets get out of the rain." I nodded and helped him up. "Do you need a ride home? " I asked him. "Yeah, I missed the bus. My mom will be mad if I don't come home soon." I nodded again.
We walked up to my silver Porsche. His eyes widened, "this is your car?!" I blushed, it's not my fault my parents are rich. It's not going to complain either. I smiled, "Yeah. It was a birthday a gift from my mother." I looked at the ground and put my bangs behind my ear.
Harry rushed over to me and opened my door. This took me by surprise. Derek never did this, or any boy for that matter. I awkwardly got in the car and Harry hurried into his seat. Let me just say it was an awkward ride.
That's it I thought. I turned the radio on. The song Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye. I loved this song. Harry sang the first verse. Wow he was really good. I have only heard him do choir sissy songs. "But you didn't have to cut me off!!" I laughed.
He obviously was messing around with the song. I loved it when guys would mess around with their voices.
"Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over." It was my turn. "And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know!" I bursts out laughing again.
I don't ever remember having a lot of fun with a boy.
I looked over and he was smiling at me for the very first time. He hand dimples. I just melted again. My cheeks were probably fire engine red by now.
We finally pull up to his house. It was really big. He gets out slowly. "Do you want to come in?" What? Inside his house? Why? "Sure." He opens my door and I get out.
We walk into his house and its beautiful. A spiraling staircase and leather couches. Red rugs covered the floor. "Harry? Is that you?" A bubbly voice said, coming from the kitchen. "Yes, and I brought someone." She struts out and has a big smile on her face.
Her happy expression dropped into a slight frown. "A girl." She gives Harry a hug. Wow she's a downer. "You are the first girl he was brought home." Harry was shocked and embarrassed, "Mom! She has a boyfriend!"
He's mom stopped dead in her tracks, "Oh, well... I made cookies Harry, come in if you want some. Let me speak to you Lucy." I was confused. Harry looked over his shoulder nervously.
"Yes?" I whispered nervously. "Stay away from him." She said bluntly. I looked down at my hands, "Excuse me?" I looked up. "I don't want you near my son, he has been though a lot, with people leaving him. You are just going to hurt him." I shook my head, " Ma'am, You don't even know me." Her eyes widened, "Frankly, I don't care who you are."
Harry came into the living room and saw how troubled I was. " Want a cookie Lucy?" Mrs. Styles asked, wow she had evil eyes."Actually Mrs. Styles I have to get going, my parents are expecting me home." I said taking a step back, trying to as politely as I could. Harry looked kinda sad, "I'll walk you to your car."
We walk out and he again opens my door for me. "What did my mother say to you?" I shook my head, closing my door, "Lets just say she doesn't like me already." He put both hands in his hair and Looked up in the sky. "Again Harry, I'm so sorry that Derek did this to you today." He shook his head, "No it's not your fault Lucy. Don't worry about it. But I do want to see you again."
"Really why?" He smiles at me again, " I don't know, but there's something special about you." His face got really close. Centimeters away. He brushed his lips against mine. He looked me in the eye. "Goodbye Lucy."
