After Changbin and Felix got together nothing really changed. Just that only Hyunjin and Jisung remained single. And it was... rather difficult.
The two boys were arguing again. It wasn't anything new though. Just the topic changed and became even more ridiculous than the previous time. This time it was about the pastel blue coloured hoodie Hyunjin wore. The issue: did it suit him or not? It started with Jeongin saying that he liked the more bright colours on him after Hyunjin asked his opinion. The dancer did get offended and it was no use anymore to emphasize that the pastel looked good on him too.
Jisung was the last to approach their group. Not being aware of the situation he just let a small compliment slip out of his mouth and that is happened to be:
"This hoodie looks good on you"
And with that he was doomed.
"Don't compliment me out of pity, Han Jisung" Hyunjin spat and stormed out of the classroom they were in. It took them about fifteen seconds to argue again.
But as Hyunjin reached the bathroom he already regretted that he said that. Furthermore a dust of red started to decorate his cheeks. After all Jisung just complimented him. But his pride didn't let him go back and apologies for his behaviour so he just sighed in frustration and run his fingers through his blonde locks.
Their push and pull relationship started to get the better of him. He felt stressed, frustrated and hoplessly in love. And these emotions wasn't easy to hold in. After all Jisung didn't feel the same. It became cristal clear when he witnessed the boy making out mindlessly in a party with someone Hyunjin didn't know.
He needed to release this stress somehow. Dancing exeptionally wasn't and options since the studios were closed due some repairing works. He also didn't wanted to go to Minho this time. So the only solution was to heading towards the archery club.
He wasn't there for a while since he was occupied with the dance competition but as he stepped in and the familiar spell of the sport hall filled his nostrils he already felt relaxed. The only problem was that he didn't bring any of his protecting item.
"It's okay" he shrugged. "Just a couple of shot to calm me down. It won't leave any mark"
He casually greeted the boys who were already there and grabbed a bow. He gripped it tightly as he placed the arrow on the string. Pulling carefully, aiming with firm hands and letting the arrow scratch his forearm. It sting. But this stinginess felt refressing. Also the physical pain helped erease the emotional mess he felt building up in him.
So he kept going. Shooting arrow after arrow till the target looked like a hedgehog. The stinginess slowly became a rather strong pain but he only noticed when he lowered the bow and stared into the void. The pulsating pain in his forearm helped to not think about anything which for he was very greatful at that moment.
His feelings lasted too long. He had crushed on Jisung for about a year. But since that particular kiss scene he happened to witness eight month ago he decided to bury his crush as deep as possible. He hoped first that the feeling would fade. That it would hurt to let go but it will become easier with time. But, god, he was wrong. Because it became harder and harder with every day. And to protect himself at least a little bit he tried to distance himself from the squirrel like boy. But somehow it went the completely other way. They grow distant in a way but also annoyed each other more and argued more. Like he couldn't express his feelings just if they yelled at each other. So they yelled. But how he wanted to tell his feelings instead. But the only person he trusted with his secret was Minho who just sighed as spread his arms to Hyunjin for a hug and promised not to tell Jisung anything.
