"ANTHONY EDWARD STARK!" I screamed, as I entered Dad's house in Malibu. I saw dad gulp.
"Hey sweetie," he said, nervously. Good, so he knew I was mad.
Uncle Steve had just dropped me off after visiting Uncle Happy in hospital. I groaned. I knew I should have gone with Uncle Clint for Christmas.
"Jarvis, there are news helicopter's outside, shouldn't we be on lock down, come on daddy threatened a terrorist," I whined, glaring at dad for the last part.
"I'm sorry Carson, but there's only so much I can do when your father gives the world's press your home address," Jarvis replies. I threw my hands in the air, someone began knocking on the door.
Dad and I rushed up in our suits, ready. But it was a woman, a woman who was not the mandarin.
"You're not the mandarin,"
'You read my mind,' I thought.
"Actually I have to talk to you in private," she said.
"Usually I would go for that, but now I have a daughter and I'm in a relationship," dad said, walking away. Several bags were dropped on the floor. "With her,"
"Tony," I heard Aunt Pepper say. I zoned out, bored, watching the t.v. After a few moments the woman copied, we noticed a missle heading towards the house.
"Guys," the woman tried. "Guys, should we...,"
"DAD!" I yelled, panicking, effectively grabbing their attention. "Should we be worried about that?"
The missle hit, sending us flying. My suit covered me and Daddy's covered Aunt Pepper's. We landed and dad sent us out. The suit went flying back to dad.
Next thing I know, the whole house had been destroyed. Dad was...he was...gone.
"TONYYYY!" Aunt Pepper screamed.
"DADDY!" I shrieked. Pepper grabbed me as I sobbed, uncontrollably.

*several hours later*

Aunt Pepper handed me one of dad's iron man helmets, I put it on.
"Pepper, Carson, it's me. I'm sorry I put you in harms way, that was selfish of me. For starters, it's Christmas time and the rabbits are too big. There. I'm sorry but I can't come home yet, I have to find this guy. I just stole a poncho of a wooden Indian. And Carson, I'm so sorry about this, you should be spending your first Christmas with me, with us, as a family, I love you sweetheart and I'll see you soon,"
I smiled as I pulled the helmet off. We headed to the car, taking the woman, Maya, I think her name was, with us.
"What was so important you had to come over to the house and talk to Tony about?" Aunt Pepper asked. She sounded slightly accusing.
"I think my boss is working for the mandarin," Maya replied, effectively shocking us.
"We may wanna go somewhere private," I pointed out.
"I agree," said Maya.

*at the hotel*

"Carson, Maya, run!" I heard Aunt Pepper scream.
There holding on to Aunt Pepper, was Killian, Maya's boss. Apparently she was on Killian's side.
"Oh, and if it isn't Carson, the Avengers little gem," Killian said, smiling down at me. I glared back at him, the way Aunt Nat taught me, causing the smile to fall quickly from his face. "Clearly not someone to be messed with, must be why they like you so much,"
I felt something hit me over the head, I fell to the ground. The last thing I heard, before I blacked out was Aunt Pepper, desperately screaming my name.

I watched Pepper in pain. I glared over at Killian, wanting to wipe the smirk off of his face.
"Where's Carson?" I asked, venom in my voice.
"Oh yes, you're little girl. Feisty isn't she?" He said, his smile widening. My glare hardened. "I'll show you,"
The image of Pepper changed to something even worse. Carson. Strapped down, same as Pepper, but she was doing a better job of hiding her pain, because of her mother most likely. I struggled against the restraints, tears clouding my eyes.
"No," I muttered. I fought harder. "NO! KILLIAN LET HER GO, LET THEM BOTH GO!"
"Sorry Tony, I can't do that, you see, we've tested extremis on adults before, but never children, so, in the name of science, I can't let Carson go, and Pepper, well, I'm just not letting her go," he answered, no sympathy or sadness at all. He was hurting an innocent eight year old. Just because I'd adopted her. Because she was my daughter.
My thoughts were cut off as I saw Carson finally stopped holding back her screams. I couldn't hear them, but I could see her pain. That was enough.

*a few hours later*

The pain had stopped, my body seemed to have accepted extremis, the room was empty. This was my chance to escape.
What these guys didn't know, was that I was training as an agent and according to Aunt Nat, I was doing brilliant, a really fast learner. Now was the time to put my abilities to the test.
I fumbled with the straps, undoing them until finally, success! I rushed off and opened the door...to find a bunch of people standing right in front of me.
I cracked my knuckles. "Let's do this,"
They all came at once. I remembered my training and started fighting back. Kick. Duck. Punch. Uppercut. Dodge. Slide the legs. And so on and so on.
When the last man was down, I observed my surroundings. Then I took a picture, stealing one of the guys phones, it could come in handy. I'm so glad Fury had this idea. Now, to Killian.
