You fall on stage

Being on stage meant the world to you, especially when you were sharing it with the one person you loved most in the world.

You weren't really part of the band, more like the co-manager who was the girlfriend of Amy Lee. It was the previous day before the band's concert and you were on stage helping them to set up their equipment in the correct order. As a stage tech, you did your job well, better than anyone in fact. That was how you had met your lover, through your manager after assigning you to the American rock band, Evanescence. The relationship between you and Amy was kept a secret for a while until you both felt the time was right to come out with it.

As you were carrying a heavy duty speaker, you weren't quite sure where it was to be placed and started looking around for Amy, unaware of what was about to block your path to her. Once you found her, you start calling out for her when you hear glass shatter beneath your feet and realizing you had stepped on a empty glass bottle someone had left there, and slipped on the shattered pieces.

"Hey Amy, where do you want me to set thi-"

It happened so fast, that you didn't see it coming but Amy turned to see it just in time as you let out a small yelp in surprise as you impact on the shattered glass.

"Ah!"

It was quite the impact as you fell forward, feeling your hand getting sliced from the pieces that surround you as if someone was performing a demonic ritual on the same stage. After landing, you hear Amy call out to you while running over to tend to you.

"Y/n! Are you okay?!"

Before you could answer, she helps you back on your feet and has you seated on a chair. When she gently takes your injured hand and pulls it towards her, it stung as a few tiny pieces of glass remains in the cut. You wince and quickly pull your hand away from her and hold it up against your chest. Her face than shows concern at your reactions and instructs you to let her see your hand again.

"Let me see your hand."

You hold it openly out towards her, she lets out a small gasp as she sees the injury before going to get the first aid kit. Once she returns with it, she helps you to fix it up and soon finishes as she wraps a bandage on it.

"I'm sorry about the speaker."

"Don't be sorry, I care more about you than an object."
