Part 6: Farewell Royal Woods

Lincoln

I stared at the boat as I waited for my grandmother and sister to arrive. We had nothing, but the clothes on our back and some dippers since my grandmother revealed that my family sold everything. It was another remainder that my family probably never cared for me at all. Why? What did I ever do to any of them? I loved them and even helped them with their activities, but it seems like it wasn't enough.

"Are you okay Lincoln?" My grandmother asks. I turned to look at her and nodded my head yes. Maybe someday I will tell her about my entire turmoil over whether or not they love me. 

"I'm just excited to see what this island has to offer?" I said. Grandma seemed to accept my answer and started to climb aboard with Lily in one of her arms. The boat was cool and was very fancy. Something my parents could never afford even if my sisters asked for it seeing how they allowed my sister's to get away with a lot. For example, they let Lana keep all of her pets which aren't cheap...many weren't even native to the area. That's just the tip of the iceberg since they probably spent their money keeping people from suing them.

"This is amazing." I stated as I climbed up the ladder. It was almost time for us to leave this area of Royal Woods forever....but, I'm not worried. I can still keep in contact with my friends. As for my family, I'm not sure whether they are regretful or not. They always apologize, but just go back to hating me for something in a couple of days or so. 

"Are you ready to go Lincoln?" Grandma said. 

"Yes." I said as she lifted up the rope keeping us tied to the dock and started to move away. This was it. The end of my old life and the beginning of the new. Too bad, I had no idea that my life would change once we arrive at the island Grandma looks over.

Leni

I was sitting in my room looking at my fashion magazines, but I wasn't really focusing on them. My brother left today and probably thinks that we don't love him. Which I don't really blame him for since we've haven't truly shown that we do despite our best intentions of doing so. I was quickly interrupted when I saw my sister, Luan at the door.

"Leni? Are you okay?" She asked.

"No. I just wanted to see Lincoln one last time, but...." I said.

"You're ashamed to show your face to him." Luan said which caused me to tear up a little. Luan was quick to rush over and hug me as she tried to comfort me.

"I know it hurts, but we agreed that Lincoln will need to get a fresh start with Lily." Luan said. I knew that she was right. Lily and Lincoln needed to get a fresh start from all of us. But I can't help myself from thinking how things would've been if we haven't listened to Lynn at all. What if we stopped making Lincoln miserable and were better sisters.

These questions kept pounding into my head as time continued to move on. However, I knew that we'll see Lincoln and Lily again. Besides they wouldn't have changed too much by then right?

I was sitting in my home bored out of my mind when I got the bright idea to see how Celesta is doing. She was taking longer than usual to get back to the island so I wanted to see what was holding her up. So I carefully opened up my mind and saw her with two kids. One of which was....

A boy. Wait....She was actually bringing a boy back to the island. Sure, he was younger than all of us...but he was going to be the first male to live her on the island. Which meant lots of fighting between the various women here. Which is to be expected since most of us stay on the mainlands so their husbands wouldn't be stolen by any of us. 

But that's beside the point. We had to discuss what we should do with regards to the boy coming over. Hopefully this will end without bloodshed since we need each other to keep our peaceful society running.

Besides the boy may even be the next guardian of this place.
