Just Getting Started!

Nick's POV

Getting into our positions, we all smiled at each other as many different ideas for our EAs flew around our minds. Before we officially started, we agreed that we would come up with at least one EA before we start sparring. Mine was simple enough, an EA I named Frost Blast, which was a decently sized beam. If my predictions were correct, calling it out while casting would increase it's damage without exerting any extra energy from myself, which was always a plus. I did think about more while waiting on the other two, who later announced when they were done. Once ready, Cameron counted us down and the sparring match began with him and I charging at one another. We clashed with our fists, him and I using our hand-to-hand combat training we received during our three week training. We heard the roar and cracking of the ground as a vertical wave of fire was guided towards us from the side. We both narrowly dodged it and stared at Lillith, who had a large grin on her face. I looked at Cam and chuckled, "alright Lily you asked for it" and with that, the both of us charged her, startling her.

She launched another wave towards us, forcing us to split away from the other. Once separated, I formed a glowing ball in my hand charging with energy, and I extended my arm forward which launched a large blast while I yelled out, "Frost Blast!". This had Lillith focus on me as the large beam quickly made its way to her, which Cameron used to close the distance between them while having his right arm engulfed in yellow energy to form a blade. "Not fair!" She yelled and did a short hop, kicking him away. Using the momentum of the kick to avoid the blast, she barely managed to get away in time. I ran over to Cameron as he stumbled from the kick, tackling him. He stood his ground enough to not be pushed down, and elbowed my back, forcing me to exert a lot of energy to pick him up and throw him into the ground. He winced and quickly formed the blade again, stabbing me in the shoulder, "Tag" he chuckled. I quickly broke the blade and backed away from him, then was suddenly struck from behind by the wave of fire again. I turned to face her before noticing Cameron attempting to use this time to get up and scramble away from me, which I stopped by firing a smaller beam at him in the back. I turned to Lillith, "Your turn Lily" I smiled and fired multiple blasts at her in rapid succession, which forced her to use the flame wave again to attempt to block them. After our elemental clash, I noticed her energy break, and she quickly retreated. "I still got fight in me Nick," Cam said as he roundhouse kicked me in the chest off from the side. I was launched back a bit and landed on my back. I cursed a little and sort of sat up, propping myself on my arm and looking at him. "You both made some pretty extravagant EAs" Cam said as he walked over to me. I only smiled at him, firing a smaller, condensed beam at his feet. This finally caused his energy to break, "Seriously?" He sighed and chuckled, helping me up.

"Sorry man I just had to" I smiled at him after dusting myself off, walking over to Lillith as he smacked my back and called me a bastard. I laughed a little and apologized to Lillith, she responded by pouting, "It's ok," before giving a quick smile. I looked at my E-gear, which showed I still had a little bit of energy left. I relayed this information to the other two, who called it unfair, causing me to smile a little. It was then Roxy came inside with food, it was then we had realized we were absolutely starving, and we fought like that.

We happily took what she offered, wolfing down our food. She gave us a warm smile and left once more as we did so, "Eat as much as you want, if you want more I'll get some" she said as we nodded, prompting her to leave. After a very filling meal, which formed a mountain of dishes, I sat and pondered about the legendary mark that resided on my right hand. 'The power of the voice and a larger level of energy reserves... Roxy must really be strong then' I thought, remembering Roxy's familial origins. 

She carries three legendary markings in her right eye, which changes depending on which element she's currently using or even fuses when she's using multiple elements at once. That alone puts her over many of the members here, even beyond me and the other two legends Mark and Caira, due to energy reserves alone. I pondered around more, noticing we haven't met the children of the other four members of the prior generation of EE. This bothered me a little and after eating I excused myself from the other two and left to find Mark.
