Award shows are boring.

The perception has been sewed in her mind ever since Blackpink first started attending them and Soojae concealed a yawn from escaping her lips. She looked to each side and spotted Lisa and Chaeyoung, looking equally as tired. Jennie and Jisoo had their eyes focused on the performance, but the younger girl could tell that they were not interested whatsoever.

"Did you hear about Mrs Park and Mr Lee going on a date?" Jennie whispered so that the other two Kims could hear.

"Mrs Park? As in 'Head of Trainees' Mrs Park?" Soojae's doe eyes widened at the statement "I thought she was married?"

"Apparently not," Jisoo snorted lightly "She got divorced last week,"

"Apparently she was seeing Mr Lee for the last two months," Jennie muttered as the group bowed towards the idols who'd come to sit behind them. "She couldn't stand it anymore and decided to divorce,"

"It explains why she's been so nice lately," Soojae mumbled as she patted down the invisible wrinkles on her dress.

The three descended into silence one more, eyes concentrated on the stage which was filled with performers. Soojae couldn't wait until she could go backstage and meet Jinyoung. The two haven't had been able to hang out properly in over a month, considering that both were extremely busy preparing for new songs, a rarity for the girl group.

"How much longer?" Jennie asked the oldest girl desparately as the latter glanced at her watch.

"Two more hours,"

Jennie and Soojae groaned.

...

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," Jinyoung greeted his best friend as the two hugged, feeling much happier that the show was finally over.

"It's only been a month, but it feels weird not seeing you knocking at our door every two weeks," Soojae smiled as the pair began to talk, explaining the goings-on of the last month.

They weren't the only ones having a conversation. Near them, Lisa witterd on to BamBam, the childhood friends almost rapping in their native tongues, too fast for anyone near them to fully understand. Jisoo and Jennie were making conversation with Irene and Chaeyoung was speaking alongside Twice's Chaeyoung, both laughing at something said.

All around them, idols were everywhere, talking, laughing, having the time of their lives as they made small talk with friends they hadn't seen in ages.

"So," Jinyoung smirked as he lowered his voice "How's Miss Kim's crush doing?"

"Junior!" The girl hissed at the older boy who only cackled in delight. "I seriously wonder why we're even friends at this point! I told you not to say a word,"

"The girls know, right?" Jinyoung asked as Soojae nodded firmly.

"Of course they know, I told them before I told you,"

Jinyoung pouted, his expression faking hurt. "I'm offended. You didn't tell your best friend,"

"We may be best friends, Park Jinyoung," The girl huffed "But don't think I'm going to forget how you exposed the fact that I ate Chaeng's crisps,"

"That was pretty funny," Jinyoung pointed out although mischief twinkled in his eyes.

"Chaeng didn't talk to me for the entire day," Soojae deadpanned as the older boy snorted.

"I- "

Jinyoung's voice was cut off as a loud voice interrupted them.

"Jae!"

Multiple heads turned towards Jackson Wang who showed no sign of being ashamed of his cry. Instead, he simply smiled and greeted a few idols on the way, beaming as he reached Jinyoung and Soojae.

"Jae, you haven't come over in eons," He embraced the female who patted his back.

"I know, I know, but we've been busy, and so have you,"

Jackson shrugged. "True that, how's life?"

"Exhausting," Soojae rubbedd her eyes as though to prove her point. "I don't think I've been sleeping well, and it shows,"

"We should have lunch tomorrow," Jinyoung raised an eyebrow at the two in front of him "You two up for it?"

"As long as you're paying," Jackson winked as Soojae high-fived him, pleased with the arrangements.

Jinyoung let out a breath of exasperation at the two he calls his best friends. But he couldn't deny the fact that he loves them. "I'm paying,"

"Wonderful," Soojae pulled out a finger heart from her pocket, flashing it at the older boy who rolled his eyes.

"Also," Jackson's eyes leapt above Soojae's head as he waved at two figures moving towards them "There are two people I want you to meet, Jae,"

The younger girl frowned. "Who?"

"Rap Monster and J-Hope," Jackson pulled the two idols by the sleeve as they all bowed. "This is Soojae,"

"Nice to meet you," The leader of BTS smiled "But ignore Jackson, it's just RM, or you can just call me Namjoon,"

"And I'm Hoseok, or Hobi," The older of the two grinned "Jackson's told us a lot about you, Soojae-ssi,"

The female's eyes landed upon the boy from Hong Kong in horror, him being included in the people she told who her crush was.

Jinyoung had a smug smile on his face. "And what exactly has Jackson told you?"

"That Soojae-ssi is a very talented dancer and vocalist," Namjoon beamed "I also heard that your parents own a floristry?"

Soojae exhaled a breath of relief. "Yes, it's called Demeter's Garden. In Jinhae-gu,"

"Anyway," Jackson pulled the conversation back towards him "All five of us meet for lunch tomorrow? Sound good?"

"Good to me," The female confirmed as the other three agreed.

"Excellent," Jackson's eyes fell upon Yugyeom who had been talking alongside Jungkook and Jaehyun who chuckled at Yugyeom's impression of 'Papillon'. "Excuse me whilst I kick one Got7 maknae,"

"I should get going too," Soojae's own sight landed upon Jisoo and Chaeyoung who had been looking for the others "Text me the details about tomorrow," She bowed to Namjoon and Hoseok once more.

"I look forward to seeing you tomorrow, Soojae-ssi," Hoseok's eyes twinkled as his tongue savoured every syllable of Soojae's name.

"Me too, Hoseok-ssi," The young woman's own eyes gleamed with a mixture of shyness and curiosity "Me too,"
