"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Chaeyoung-ie. Happy birthday to you!"
"Thank you!" Chaeyoung blew out the flickering candles on her cake, eyes sparkling.
It was Chaeyoung's birthday and the members had all planned a brilliant day for her, starting with a delicious breakfast with her favourite style of pancakes, as well as cake. She was going to do a live later, go out shopping and finally have dinner with the members at the restaurant they had booked.
Having dinner together was tradition amongst the girls, no matter whose birthday it was. The restaurant that they would book was the one they had gone to as trainees, and it had simply stuck with them.
Jackson would also be throwing a party in his apartment the next night, and the girls were considerably hyped up for the event. They rarely managed to attend the parties that other idols would throw, but their manager had softened considering that it was Chaeyoung's birthday as well as the fact that it was Jackson who was hosting the event. He was to be trusted.
"So," Lisa's eyes glistened with interest "What do you want to do today? We have 9 hours until you need to do a V-Live,"
"We're going shopping," Chaeyoung said firmly "And we'll have lunch at the new place that just opened. Just a girl's day out, sound good?"
"Hell yeah!" Jisoo beamed from her seat "I've been meaning to go shopping for ages!"
...
"You look hot," Jennie smirked as Soojae's cheeks flushed from the compliment.
Blackpink were getting ready to attend Jackson's party in honour of Chaeyoung's birthday. Each member looked drop-dead gorgeous, having chosen stunning black dresses that flaunted their figures that also brought out their intimidating sides.
"I'm done!" Lisa called, stepping out of her own room, a delicate diamond choker on her neck.
"So am I," Chaeyoung smiled, clutching a purse.
"I think we're all done," Jisoo glanced at the younger girls in pride. They had all grown up well. "Now, let's party!"
...
"Chaeyoung-ie!" Jackson's voice was slightly slurred and the girls could tell that he had taken a few shots already "Happy birthday even though it was yesterday, come in,"
The girls thanked Jackson before heading off towards their respective friends, all of whom were stationed somewhere in the boy's apartment.
The last time Soojae had been in Jackson's accomodation, she had remembered it as clean and quite aesthetically pleasing. Now, it was decorated with neon lights, music blaring in the background as well as drinks everywhere.
"You've been drinking, haven't you?" Soojae looked at her best friend who only grinned in response.
"Loosen up, Jae," He said dreamily "Have a few drinks yourself, knock yourself out, literally!"
"Not quite literally," Jinyoung appeared into view, wearing a black shirt with some jeans of the same colour. He looked at Jackson who clung onto the Park boy like a koala. "He's already had two bottles,"
Soojae shook her head in amusement and her eyes met that of J-Hope's. He too was dressed quite casually, a black shirt and black jeans, looking very much like a 3-course meal.
"You didn't tell me that BTS sunbaenims were going to be here," Soojae mumbled quietly, letting go of her gaze.
"Of course they would be here," Jinyoung replied, his voice equally as low "Practically everyone's invited,"
He was right. Almost everyone was here. Twice, Red Velvet, Exo, Astro, NCT and more had attended. Out of the corner of her eye, Soojae saw Jennie and Kai talking in soft tones, and the younger girl smiled.
As long as they were happy.
Jinyoung had a smug smile plastered on his face. "Aren't you going to talk to Hope?" He brought down his voice, whispering in Soojae's ear, eyes on the senior boy. "He's looking at you,"
Soojae swallowed. "Maybe,"
Jackson let out a laugh, apparently not as drunk as the younger girl thought he was. "He looks jealous, Jae. Better go to him before he has some words with us,"
The two boys lightly pushed their best friend towards Hoseok, whose eyes were solely focused on her.
"Evening," Hoseok greeted, tipping his glass of wine.
"Evening to you too," Soojae mumbled shyly, still not quite over what Jackson and Jinyoung had said.
"You look beautiful,"
He was not wrong on any account. Kim Soojae looked breathtaking tonight, and it wasn't just Hobi's eyes that were on her. Many male idols felt the urge to look at her, and the older boy wasn't particularly pleased with that fact.
"Thank you. You look quite handsome yourself,"
"It's been a little over three weeks since our last meeting," Hoseok leaned closer, one eyebrow raised and Soojae resisted the need to push back his hair which was in the view of his eyes. "How about another dance session?"
"We can have a dance session after perhaps, a lunch day?" Soojae offered sweeetly "I know a good place,"
"I'll look forward to it," Hoseok winked as the younger girl's cheeks heated up causing the rapper to laugh.
She really was something else.
