Percy's POV:
Agony! Pain! Horror! Torment! Torture! Burning! Hurts.....control.
The agony of finally letting myself go ripped my mind to shreds, but then, there was peace. The pain stopped. I was in control.
Luke's POV:
The relief I felt when our Commander, and my best friend, stepped out onto the battle field (the strawberry fields of camp) was so great I even showed a bit of emotion, a cry of relief escaping my lips before quickly being stifled. But then that shock turned to horror and fear as Omega let out a pain filled shriek and doubled over, hiding his face from all. Gaia looked delighted, and began to cautiously make steps towards him, and stopping over his broken form. I threw myself up against the barrier Chaos had put up, realising Gaia was about to kill Omega! Then I saw what was really going on, why there was a barrier protecting us, and how we were going to win the war.
Groaning noises were coming from the Commander and we watched in fascination as his clothes began to tear and rip under his cloak. Something glinted underneath it. Something dark. We watched as he drew his sword before standing upright and throwing his cloak off.
This time there were screams of awe and apprehension. For in front of us a monster had taken our Commander's place. Its skin glinted like diamond, but was pitch black in colour. Its hair was obsidian, styled into spikes underneath a helmet with long curved horns. (A.N// Think of Loki's helmet). It wore assassin battle armour in pure black and its face was in shadow, so we could not even see if it was really Percy under there. But the most beautiful and most deadly part was the wings!
They were blacker than obsidian, and radiated fear darker than that of the darkest night. They seemed to trap you and almost drag you towards them, like a pit straight to Tartarus. The edges were celestial metal tipped, like knives, and the bottom of the wings were edged in Chaotic Silver and jagged like razors. Omega spread his wings...and soared into the air. The sky crackled with electricity and we all glanced over at a chained up Zeus, asking if it was his doing. The answer was a no. It was the Commander!
We watched as thunder clouds gathered above his head and the sky turned a strange, crimson colour, almost exactly the same as fresh blood. Omega was glowing now as well, but with a black aura that struck terror into all who looked upon him. This was not our Commander. This was a bloodthirsty monster, one that would stop at nothing to kill his enemies. And as of right now, I realised Gaia was already dead. It was inevitable.
But, there were still more surprises in store as a deafening "clash!" was heard overhead and Omega shone with ancient power. A black fire I had never seen before circled him, moving as lithely as a serpent, before coming to rest in his hand in the shape of a whip. A call echoed through the now silent skies and a black winged shape burst from the heavens, also glowing with the same fire, and soared down to Omega's side. I now understood.
Omega was a shadow wielder. The only one in the world. Legend says that one day a huge battle will be almost lost until the shadow wielder and his companion come to save the day. His companion is a black winged horse called Skia, but I couldn't see her. Until I realised that it was not a 'her' it was a 'he'. Omega's companion is none other than Blackjack, his faithful pegasi from Earth. They raised their hands (or wings in Blackjack's case) and a deadly stream of fire shot with the force of a thousand speeding bullets towards the Mother of Earth. And she went 'poof'! Just disappeared in a blink of an eye.
The monster known as Omega looked at us, and gulped. He grimaced and began to change, until in his spot was a teenage boy covered in dirt, blood and whip marks. But the wings were still there. They had changed though. Into pure black feathered wings. Not unlike those of a broken angel, a fallen soul, a demon. He looked at us with sadness in his eyes before turning and ordering the monsters to the darkest pits of Tartarus. They went without a word, acting like naughty school children that had been caught graffitiying (A.N// Is that even a word?) the walls. Then Chaos let down the huge golden barrier that had stopped him from harming us while he wasn't in control. But Omega had seen the barrier and hurt flashed across his face. Without warning he and his winged friend leapt into the air and soared up until they were only black specs to us Chaos soldiers, and we had the eyesight of eagles! They changed direction and vanished from sight.
