Regina smiled, she was exactly where she'd wanted to be. She was finally happy. If someone had told her this was where she'd be at this moment five years ago, she'd never have believed it. At that time, she was dealing with the repercussions of adopting a child. That you could never have the same bond. Never. Especially if you hadn't told them.

Thinking about it now, it probably would've been a better decision to raise Henry with the knowledge she wasn't his birth mother. She only kept it a secret as not to affect their bond, something that didn't really age well. But now, she got to have another go - another chance, one that she wouldn't screw up this time. A chance to raise her daughter.

Regina was surprised Nila wasn't awake yet, as she was usually an early riser. When she turned her head to the door bridging the two rooms, she heard Robin's voice behind her. "Perhaps she's more like you than we once thought. Hating mornings seems to be a character trait of the Mills' family."

The queen chuckled, "As much as I enjoy my lie-ins, I rarely stay in this late." It was true. Being both a single mother and running a town weren't exactly the easiest pairing, and having to drop Henry round at Archie's every evening just seemed to wear her out even more.

Over the time she'd spent with her son since the curse had broken, she was finding it more tiring trying not to use magic than when actually casting spells and curses. Now, she had to open doors by hand, take time choosing her outfits in the mornings and not to mention light switches. Being normal really sucked. In her time as queen, she'd never really wanted for anything. She would take the easy way out most of the time, and never had to worry about what to wear. At least her daughter didn't request she give up her magic like Henry had once done.

Robin seemed to read her like a book. "You're thinking about your son again, aren't you?" The queen sighed, "I just... Really miss him. Although our relationship was sometimes complicated, and the fact he never understood my magic..." She paused, tears starting to form in her eyes. Noticing this, Regina wiped them away quickly, never wanting to seem weak in front of the man she loved. "I guess, what I want to say is that I want to go back."

"Back? As in, back in time? Your sister attempted that one. If I'm remembering rightly, that one didn't go so well."

No, she didn't want to go back in time. And part of Robin knew that. He knew she was talking about that place they lived in. Storybrooke, was it?

Regina scoffed, "No. Back to Storybrooke. You know, the place-"

"You created with your curse, right. But, I thought there was no way to get back there? Wasn't it the price? You had to leave behind the thing you love most. Unless Henry isn't the thing you love most..."

As ignorant as the thief was, he had a point. Who did she love the most? At one point in her life, she wouldn't have needed to even think about the question. The only one she loved was her father. But he was gone now, thanks to her.

Then there was her son, Henry. She didn't linger long over his memory; the wound was still fresh in her mind, any longer and the tears would for sure start falling. But she couldn't get to Henry now, and she had made a new family over in this land.

She finally had her daughter, and if she was being honest, Nila was the most perfect daughter a mother could wish for. She was kind, smart, loving and she believed in her. Something Henry hadn't been able to do so far... And the queen thanked her lucky stars that Nila hadn't ended up too sweet. Regina had spent her most of her adulthood cooped up with a wretched child she then spent the rest of her life trying to destroy. Luckily, her child didn't have too much in common with the princess.

And last, but not least, Robin. Her soulmate, her one true love, her future. They had decided not to put labels on it yet, since they deemed themselves too old to be 'Girlfriend and Boyfriend.' No, they were past all that, they were sure it was each other they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with. And if they were being honest, a proposal was probably the way to go, but Robin was nothing if not nervous.

He knew his soulmate well enough to know that the one thing she despised was talking about her feelings, but it didn't really help that he had no idea how she felt about him. The outlaw was absolutely crazy in love with her, and frequently told her that, but Regina never responded with more than a small head nod, or a kiss if she was in the right mood.

Seeing the dazed look on his face, the queen decided to ignore his previous comment, knowing it would only make her more upset. "Penny for your thoughts?" She asked, placing a loving kiss on his lips. Robin smiled, showing off his schoolboy-like dimples.

"I was just thinking about how much I love you." But before Regina's lips could reach his, he continued, "And about the fact you've never told me how you feel about me. Or about why you love me."

The queen was more than a little taken aback, and she sighed before responding. "Robin, I love you more than anything, more than you could understand. But, I can't help but feel a little guilty."

"Guilty?" He asked, leaning closer towards her.

"When I first arrived in this land, I promised myself I would never be happy without Henry. That I would wait until we were together again. I thought I could never be happy without him. But having you here, and Roland, and my daughter too... I don't know, it just feels like treason. That I'm forgetting about him."

"I'm sure that wherever Henry is, he feels the same." Robin placed a loving kiss of his own onto the queen's forehead, and looked into her eyes. There were tears forming in them, but it only made her look even more beautiful. He loved the fact he was able to comfort her, to make her feel happy. "That's the thing," she whispered, "He doesn't even remember me, let alone love me." What could he say in response? Everything she was saying was true.

The tears were really falling now, and Robin put her head on his chest and wrapped his arms around her, keeping her safe. "I love you, Regina Mills." He whispered, over and over again into her ear, alternating between that and placing kisses along her neck. "I love you too."
